More Records For The Collection (No Dad Rock)
Mort won the show last time with the info on that City of Caterpillar reissue in the last list. Unless somebody has an early track on the Secret Voice reissue of the Saetia full-length, I don't think it'll be possible to top that. Anyways, these are records. I procured them within the last few weeks or so. Feel free to lob your recent pick-ups in here and make sure to holler at my horrendous taste. I'm counting on your Sputieness, Sputnik.! |
1 | | Total Abuse Excluded
Black. Finally pressed and on the shelves. One of favourite hardcore records from last year. |
2 | | The Get Up Kids Four Minute Mile
White w/ Blueish splatter. It's okay. You can laugh at my post-pseudo-non-emo-wussy-pants-dance-rock. I absolutely HATED this band as a teenager, but for some reason I got into them post-thirties. Maybe it's a almost midlife crisis? Pryor!!!!!!!!!! |
3 | | Envy Abyssal
Black. Used and super cheap. This EP is great! |
4 | | Envy Compiled Fragments 1997-2003
Black. Having a pressing (albeit comp, pressing) of the Envy side of the Iscariote split is wonderous. This was also wonderfully underpriced. |
5 | | Elliott Songs In a Transit Wind
Black. This is actually the "Calvary Song / Fan and The Bellows" EP released on Revelation Records. Their Chameleons cover is fantastic! |
6 | | Hot Water Music Alachua
Black. This is actually the Alachua EP on Allied with a Silverish cover. |
7 | | Hot Water Music Where We Belong
Opaque Yellow/Green. This is the "Where We Belong" EP. I'll alter this after I finish the list. Probably my favourite song by these Floridians and a bit of a record store "white whale" for my HWM collection. I have no idea why they never put it on their super-comps? |
8 | | Converge/Dropdead Split
Brownish/Purplish starburst. Taste the rainbrown? This split rules! Both bands kill everything. The End. |
9 | | Red Hare Lexicon Mist
Coke Bottle Green. This is actually the Lexicon Mist EP. The fact that there is no entry for this on the site makes me a little sad. I'll rectify this in just a bit. Ex Swiz, Bluetip, Dag Nasty, Garden Variety, Retisonic. Rocks hard! |
10 | | Wild Nothing Life of Pause
Black. I was kind've hoping for a "Nocturne" Part 2. This LP isn't terribly or anything. |
11 | | Fugazi The Argument
Black. Please come back guys! We need you soooo bad! |
12 | | Jurassic 5 Power in Numbers
Black. It was magical Christmasland when I saw this on store shelves a bit ago. I had no idea they were reissuing this piece of modern hip-hop gold. |
13 | | Into Another Ignaurus
Trans. Blue. These cats were always interesting. Somewhat proggy, ex-hardcore fellows rocking off-kilter metal (with a melodic heart). |
14 | | Thundercat The Beyond/Where The Giants Roam
Opaque Red. One of my favourite EPs from last year. Funky and smooth. |
15 | | Nirvana In Utero
Black. Go ahead. Do you worst. |
