Extra point: sometimes one may wish to expose themself to things they once thought they didn’t enjoy (like a kid previously hating strawberries) in order to learn it’s not as bad as they originally thought, and perhaps they’ll actually like it now because tastes change.

What I consider hate consumption, is when a person knowingly subjects themselves to something, expressly because they think it's shit, whist gaining some kind of sense of superiority for having better taste. That, or the weird enjoyment of being wound up (or a mixture of the two).

I don’t think it’ll be enjoyable, in fact I’m almost certain it’ll be terrible, yet I still do it. Best I can hope for is getting some ‘amusingly bad kick’ out of its awfulness.
