| Paramore/Hayley Williams Ranked
I once tried to rank every Paramore song...then failed miserably because I ended up forgetting like 6 of them. Since Hayley Williams now has a couple of solo releases, I figured I'd rank them all together to see how they stack up to Paramore's discography! | 9 | | Hayley Williams FLOWERS for VASES / descansos
What's the opposite of an album growing on you? I don't know if there's necessarily a word for it, but that's what this album has done to me. It was a pleasant listen the first time around, but it has very little staying power. The songs sound nice enough, but they all run together after a while.
Highlights: Over Those Hills, Just a Lover
2.7/5 | 8 | | Paramore The Summer Tic
For an EP with such a high average, this is pretty forgettable.
Highlights: O Star, This Circle
2.9/5 | 7 | | Paramore After Laughter
I've already vocalized my thoughts on this album, and I know I'm in the minority. I can admit that this album has grown on me ever so slightly, but I still think this is Paramore's weakest LP.
Highlights: Rose Colored Boy, Fake Happy, Idle Worship
3/5 | 6 | | Paramore All We Know Is Falling
A very solid debut album. Sure it hasn't aged graciously, but there's still some slappin' songs on here.
Highlights: Emergency, Brighter, Conspiracy, My Heart
3.4/5 | 5 | | Paramore Paramore
I never understood the hate this album got. Sure it's not all perfect, but not many albums are. I think this is very similar to Williams' debut album: there's a lot of good songs to be found but they could've trimmed some of the weaker tracks to make this a more solid overall release.
Highlights: Part II, Last Hope, Still Into You, Future, Hate to See Your Heart Break
3.8/5 | 4 | | Paramore Riot!
In middle school I ADORED this album and it's hard not to have some nostalgia bias. I can admit that their songwriting is inconsistent, but the energy and passion on this album is so easy to fall in love with.
Highlights: For a Pessimist...,Misery Business, Let the Flames Begin, Born For This
4/5 | 3 | | Hayley Williams Petals for Armor
I think this is a highly underrated pop album. Like I said before, this album would've benefitted from a bit of trimming (no reason for this to be 15 tracks), but Williams does a great job showcasing her musical talent here. I think the marketing for this was absolutely terrible though. Who the heck releases two thirds of an album before the album even drops??
Highlights: Cinnamon, Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris, Crystal Clear, Dead Horse, Sugar on the Rim
4/5 | 2 | | Paramore Singles Club
Not much to say about this 4-track release; Monster is a top-3 song of theirs, and the rest are incredibly solid. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Paramore fan who doesn't like this EP.
Highlights: Monster, Hello Cold World, Renegade
4.2/5 | 1 | | Paramore Brand New Eyes
I'll admit this now: BNE is one of my favorite albums ever, and to me, is one of the best pop-punk albums of all time. The band's deteriorating relationship at the time led to some of their best songwriting ever. Overall, BNE will likely always be Paramore's peak, and it's hard to find faults with this release.
Highlights: Brick By Boring Brick, Turn it Off, Ignorance, All I Wanted, Decode

11.18.21 | I've already began to brace myself for the '#7 is way too low' comments. | Asdfp277
11.18.21 | 3 & 5 suck, 2 is ok lol | Tundra
11.18.21 | Diminishing returns would be the opposite of a grower m/. Bit of a shame that she blew her load so early releasing Flowers for Vases so soon after Petals lmao. I agree with most of the ranking spots. Self-titled indeed underrated, and Monster is an awesome song, heck yeah. | Slex
11.18.21 | Yeah disagree about 7 but also I think Vases is wayyy better than Armor | Asdfp277
11.18.21 | vases > armor [2] | JoyfulPlatypus
11.19.21 | Maybe soft/folky music just isn't for me then. I've given Vases a few tries and it always puts me to sleep. | Dewinged
11.19.21 | "I can admit that their songwriting is inconsistent"
Riot inconsistent? It's their more consistent album of their career! (and their best btw!) | JoyfulPlatypus
11.19.21 | @Dewinged Lol fair enough. I won't name specifics in case they're songs you like, but there's a couple songs nowadays that don't really strike the same chord as they used to years ago. | Koris
11.19.21 | Nice list, and completely agree about BNE being the band's best and a 5/5. I would have put After Laughter right behind it though, personally :] | JoyfulPlatypus
11.19.21 | @Divergent I know, pretty much everybody on this site adored AL. To this day, I'm still not 100% why I don't love it. Paramore is one of my favorite bands and I was anticipating that album for years, but something just didn't sit well with me. Admittedly I thought it was bad when I first heard it, now I can at least admit it's decent. | neekafat
11.19.21 | If Petals was wayyy higher this would actually be my ranking exactly | Emim
11.19.21 | Riot is way too low. That would probably be my #1 | zaruyache
11.19.21 | 5 is 1 !! | JoyfulPlatypus
11.19.21 | @zaruyache I think if they'd cut maybe 4-5 songs from the final album, it would've been much better. But I totally feel like the hate the album got was undeserved. | zaruyache
11.19.21 | yeah it could stand trimming, but otherwise it's got some of their best stuff. | Sinternet
11.20.21 | bne eternally overrated | Asdfp277
11.21.21 | nah, it's just best paramore | Asdfp277
11.21.21 | (i always think of riot! as inconsistent, but looking at the tracklist, only 'miracle' and 'fences' are disposable for me lol. it's just that some songs are good but not as good, like 'when it rains' and 'hallelujah') | JohnnyoftheWell
11.21.21 | Emergency and Here We Go Again > the other albums | Storm In A Teacup
11.21.21 | Emergency was my first paramore song. Epic 14 year old me ate it up lol | Sowing
11.21.21 | 1 is definitely 1, but 7 is 2 | Drifter
11.21.21 | "What's the opposite of an album growing on you? I don't know if there's necessarily a word for it, but that's what this album has done to me"
growing... off? | zaruyache
11.21.21 | miracle isn't fantastic but it's a solid song i wouldn't skip; fences is take or leave tho.
edit: now i'm listening to riot again godamnit | onionbubs
11.21.21 | last 3 songs off the debut are prob the best but i havent jammed any paramore in a while
i have the ever predictable former pop punk kids ranking of bne > riot > debut > after laughter >> s/t. not familiar enough w the solo albums to throw them in but petals did not do much for me when i heard it | Storm In A Teacup
11.21.21 | Lol drifter that’s what I thought too | Asdfp277
11.21.21 | album shrank on you | Asdfp277
11.21.21 | from AWKIF i would take "conspiracy" as a highlight too tbh | JoyfulPlatypus
11.21.21 | Conspiracy slaps lol | JoyfulPlatypus
11.21.21 | The only songs I consider disposable/forgettable on Riot! are Miracle, We Are Broken, and (I'm so sorry) Hallelujah. | onionbubs
11.21.21 | hallelujah rules agreed | Snake.
11.21.21 | "The only songs I consider disposable/forgettable on Riot! are Miracle"
neg | ShadowRemains
11.21.21 | Emergency best Paramore song agreed |
