| Underrated albums
Feel free to say some of your own. These are some albums that over the years never really got as much appreciation as they deserve. | 1 | | Trust Company The Lonely Position of Neutral
Nostalgic, atmospheric, moody, and heavy. Nu metal mixed with post-grunge with punk influence. | 2 | | Trading Yesterday More Than This
Honestly a beautiful alt-rock album. | 3 | | Brandon Heath Don't Get Too Comfortable
Yeah its CCM, I understand why you'd wanna pass that up, but this is actually pretty solid. Really nice and laid back sound. Lyrics are occasionally hand fisted, but no where near other CCM. Maybe not the greatest tunes of all time by any means, but its a very endearing album and a all around pleasant experience. The songs lyrics feel varied from most CCM, as this album focuses on more lover relationships and human connection than actual religious ones.
I mean, god this album is so forgotten its album name on here isn't even right. Lol. | 4 | | Stepa Stepa
An extremely obscure album, but ironically some of the best of nu metal despite it. Very creative and nostalgic. Pretty heavy sometimes too. | 5 | | LeVeL Level
Super well made nu metal with good hip-hop. Limp Bizkit but listenable. | 6 | | Deftones Deftones
Honestly this album is better than most of their discography. Definitely better than Ohms too. | 7 | | Thousand Foot Krutch Phenomenon
This band gets crapped on a lot, but this album is legitimately solid. | 8 | | Celldweller Celldweller
This is shockingly really good. I feel like its popular, but idk, it feels a little overlooked. | 9 | | Newsboys Love Liberty Disco
I can understand why you wouldn't like these guys, they're EXTREMELY cheesy, and their lyrics can be incredibly hand-fisted...but I dunno, I kinda like that about them. They believe what they believe and they don't really care. They embrace the cheese head on and make some funky songs, some of which actually kinda slap. I respect that. I'll take cheesy lyrics over godawful ones like Limp Bizkit -- Nookie any day.
This album tones down the cheese a little bit in favor of a more classical sound, and some songs like Everybody's Someone legitimately sound great. | 10 | | Newsboys Thrive
A much cheesier album than LLD, but not always. Live in Stereo, Million Pieces, and Thrive all sound pretty good. This album is a lot of fun if you approach it the right way, and these guys know how to make good melodies.
"bUt tHe LyRICs aRe sO DuMB On (insert track here)!!!" Yeah that's the point. Just give it a chance. | 11 | | Audiovent Dirty Sexy Knights in Paris
Honestly a pretty great grunge-y /alt metal album. A little by the numbers at times though. | 12 | | I-Exist Humanity Vol. I
So this isn't the right album. Their album Polarity is a remixed version of all four parts of this, and honestly it is some of the most beautiful electronica I've ever heard.
This album is cool too. Combines metal with electronics pretty well. | |

12.08.20 | Whoa, never thought I'd see the day where 2 is mentioned in a list. Big props for that. And man 9 is so nostalgic. 10 is the album that got me into music too. | MxL0
12.08.20 | Man its so obscure but it needs more love. I randomly found it on Youtube one day, Shattered has 7 million views over there. | Lucman
12.08.20 | LOL I found it through an AMV that played the end of Shattered on Youtube. It took awhile to find who sung it but I HAD to find it. | MxL0
12.08.20 | Youtube is oddly good at bringing up really obscure music. I really think Trading Yesterday could've been big if their album had an actual release. | heck
12.08.20 | this list is a record store bargain bin | MxL0
12.08.20 | Bargain bins have good CDs from time to time | heck
12.08.20 | truth honestly | Ecnalzen
12.08.20 | Love me some TrustCO
Only other thing I am really familiar with here is AudioVent. Fuckin hell, The Energy is a good ass song | MxL0
12.08.20 | Rain is great as well. Really fun album. | Ecnalzen
12.09.20 | I only kept 4 of the tracks from it. I also like Gravity and Beautiful Addiction. Looking Down is alright, too
Kinda curious about the rest of it. Haven't heard the album besides those 4 songs in so long | cinnamoncakeface
12.09.20 | totally rad friday evening youth pastor starter pack | MxL0
12.09.20 | Deftones and Celldweller doesn't exactly scream youth pastor lol.
Stepa has atheist lyrics not to mention
@Ec I enjoyed Gravity as well. I felt like they coulda made a really good record someday, they had serious talent. |
