03.24.21 | Just opened my bags from shopping: mozzarella, camembert, brie and feta this time. Not the real deal though, the commercial/large company produced ones. I do lots of blue cheese as well usually but didn't feel like it this time. Of course, started digging through the budgie list..I'm in Europe, can easily find 4 from your list. Mimolette has an incredible colour, very interesting |

bleu d'auvergne is available at nearby stores - added to the shopping list:) ,
pont-l'eveque, Langres, crottin de chavignol also available via online shopping, good stuff.
The crottin de chavignol particularly got me interested as it can be consumed in 3 stages within its maturation and it is also good warm, from the oven. store cheese at room temperature and consume it quickly. if you refrigerate the cheese it looses flavor and then what's the point, cold camembert you can't differentiate really from cold american cheddar product. must be kept room temperature. especially camembert! |

But I think you speak of the real deal. I speak of supermarket cheese that is refrigerated before I buy it. Will need to take a shot at a proper Camembert, hopefully I'll get to visit France again in 1-2 years |
