10.04.14 | #2 should be her 2012 album うたびこ but for obvious reasons Sput doesn't like the title. |

10.04.14 | Who the hell are Purling Hiss??? Will check.
God I love these lists. |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | Purling Hiss was formed by the guitarist from Birds Of Maya (who are probably less well-known around here than Purling Hiss themselves so that's probably not much help). Their early stuff is quite a lot different (and much noisier) than their current material which is much more commercial sounding but it's all good stuff. |

10.04.14 | Fuzz is such a great band, their LP was really nice... so many psych things I need to check out.
Great list idea, sometimes I'm too lazy to go and search for new music to listen to |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | Have you heard the Fuzz's Sunderberry Dream single? Love the b-side for that which is a really good cover of King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man. |
Chrisjon89
10.04.14 | sweet, drowning in new stuff at the moment but commenting to check back later. most of these are new to me |
reportingbird
10.04.14 | is 7 really good?oltna rec'd me that album on his list |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | Hope you find some stuff you like when you do come back to this, Chris.
@elbaliem: Yeah 7 is great. If you like noisy, lo-fi heavy psych they you'll definitely dig it. |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | 12 is the standard number for these list, I wasn't going to break the trend with this one! |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | Cap, you might dig 6 (and it's free): https://little-blood.bandcamp.com/ |
Torontonian
10.04.14 | i heard a woods album once and it was pretty good.i might check out that one. |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | 11 is probably somewhere in my top 20 albums of this year (so far). Might slightly prefer their previous album Bend Beyond though actually. |
Torontonian
10.04.14 | i rly liked songs of shame. i need to listen to it again cus it was rly good. And i'll give the new one a listen for sure. thanx. |
wacknizzle
10.04.14 | So glad to see 12 here, great Townes album |
Torontonian
10.04.14 | @jamie also i have a rec 4 u. i see you really like folk. tbh, I don't much about it, but you should definetly check out Bill Callahan-Dream River. It's one of the few folk album i own but its honestly quite gr8. It came out last year. |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | Sup wack, you're one of the few users around here who seems to give Townes the love he deserves.
@Toront: Yeah folk (of the singer-songwriter orientated kind) is pretty much my favourite genre. I'll check it out, thanks. |
Torontonian
10.04.14 | ^its more along the lines of rock-folk but its still gr8 |
JamieTwort
10.04.14 | @Torontonian: s'all good, I'll check it at some point.

you should be thanking me for the bump |
JamieTwort
10.05.14 | You're right, I'm sorry. Thank you dear Rowan. |
Rowan5215
10.05.14 | You're very welcome hun |
JamieTwort
10.05.14 | Have you listened to Roy Harper yet? |
Rowan5215
10.05.14 | I actually had trouble finding a good download for his music - I can't stand low quality - but now that you've reminded me I'll have another glance around. Should I just get the higher rated albums on Sputnik, or what |
JamieTwort
10.05.14 | His first 5 albums are the ones to get. Flat Baroque and Berserk is the best starting point I think but you can't really go wrong with any of the first 5, although I will say Come Out Fighting Ghengis Smith wouldn't be the best place to start so maybe just get the other 4 for now. |
JamieTwort
10.07.14 | Bump. |
Atari
10.07.14 | fuck ya, i missed this somehow. also can't believe you haven't posted one of these since february |
JamieTwort
10.07.14 | Yeah I know, it's crazy.
1 and 12 are the obvious recs for you here given how much you love Dylan and folk in general. |
JamieTwort

JamieTwort
10.07.14 | Fucking lol. Sorry for the lack of metal, Fade. |
JamieTwort
10.07.14 | Good to see you're digging 11 too, Atari. It's probably somewhere in my top 20 albums of the year so far. |
Atari
10.08.14 | yeah man that woods album kicks ass, one of the best modern folk albums i've heard in some time |
JamieTwort
10.08.14 | I really like their previous album too, maybe even more than their newest, although it's not as mature sounding. |
