04.09.13 | I use an Audio-Technica AT-LP120. I first considered going for a second-hand turntable, but the ones I found were a pretty big risk. The one I have now definitely does the trick and is upgradable. It came with the AT-95E cartridge, so I lucked out on that. And I use my dad's old stereo for amps and speakers, a Kenwood set from the early 90s. It's not the best system in the world, but it certainly gets the job done. |

On a sidenote, I got the remaster for Laughing Stock, but it's not a very good pressing. So if you can get your hands on an original copy, definitely go for that.

It was like 12 euros. People on Discogs complain about the sound quality, and they may have a point, but I like the grittyness of it. Either way it's not absolutely terrible or anything, just a bit hazey. |
