10.19.12 | List is first 6 ranked. Top 4 are all fucking close but 1 has to be one of the best metal albums ever |
JamieTwort
10.19.12 | Can't say I'm that optimistic about it but we'll see. As for the ranking I'd switch 1 and 2 but other than that I pretty much agree. |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Given Ozzy's last album I'm not that optimistic either but having Geezer writing the songs is a good sign surely?
I debated switching 2 and 1 but I think I prefer 1 a bit more |
tommygun
10.19.12 | It's hard to be enthused considering the lack of Bill Ward but I am cautiously optimistic. Hopefully Rick Rubin doesn't fuck it up too much! |
JamieTwort
10.19.12 | Yeah that is a good sign, Geezer rules and is a great songwriter. |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Well Rubin did a good job on most Slayer records and I also like Slipknot's Vol. 3 that he produced but he'd better not fuck this up. Also agree that the lack of Bill Ward is worrying |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Also a fucking incredible bass player JT
'N.I.B' anyone ? |
JamieTwort
10.19.12 | Indeed. |
KILL
10.19.12 | no bill 1/5 |

Geezer? Tony? ..... Ermm Ozzy I suppose |
MO
10.19.12 | won't have bill ward so fuck this |
tommygun
10.19.12 | I don't have a problem with Rick getting the best out of the artists it's just that he insists on using his buddy Vlado Meller for mastering and that's when everything goes pear shaped. |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | We shall wait and see. Hoping it'll rule though, be nice to hear some new music from the band |
tommygun
10.19.12 | Yeah dude can't wait to hear some fresh riffs from Iommi! |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | His riffs have always been the best part of Sabbath. They were amazing at Download this year too. Tony looked like he was having the time of his life up there, fuck his disease. He really is the Iron Man |
tommygun
10.19.12 | Tony is a great guy I hope he kicks cancer square in the balls and lives 'til he is 100 |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Fuck cancer. Tony'll beat it |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Did you seriously just compare Black Sabbath to Skillet or BFMV?
Get back under your bridge troll
|
tommygun
10.19.12 | Damn Baseline don't you get tired of being so negative all the time? You should try being positive like me it feels great! |
YankeeDudel
10.19.12 | base you dont mean that!! |
Youtellme
10.19.12 | Cheesy lyrics have been popular since forever.
Also:
"Fact is that BFMV is more technically accomplished than Black Sabbath, and Skillet are not so far behind either."
Fuck off. |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Base if you can show me a BFMV or Skillet song that's as well written as 'War Pigs' or 'Into the Void' or even 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' then I might listen to your opinion. How are BFMV more technically accomplished than Black Sabbath? Tony Iommi basically invented heavy metal with that sound and they incorporated jazz and blues into heavy rock and that alone makes them more musically astute than some guys screaming down a mic over some power chords about how he was bullied as a teenager and rejected by someone he 'loves' |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Dissing The Beatles and Iron Maiden too
This troll is dedicated |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | So Black Sabbath brought nothing new to the table? And please explain how power chords thrown together into a 'riff' is better than Tony Iommi? And how anyone (other than Keith Moon, Neil Peart and John Bonham) is better at drums than Bill Ward? |
KILL
10.19.12 | agreed base |
ViperAces
10.19.12 | Dude Black Sabbath are almost as generic as Death are you dumb? |
GnFnRs87
10.19.12 | Agreed sonic, it could also be good however
Yeah ViperAces, they're almost as generic as Led Zeppelin too |
Chortles
10.19.12 | switch 4 and 5 and i'd totally agree with this |
