11.08.13 | Try Yusef Lateef. He's a really great musician (specializing in tenor saxophone and flute), and not a lot of people talk about him here so it would be nice to spread the word about him. His style is bop- around the '60s he started mixing some arabic styles into his sound (see "Taboo").
Check out: the Sounds of Yusef, Cry! – Tender, Eastern Sounds, and The Golden Flute. Please don't do The Centaur and the Phoenix or Other Sounds because I was really looking forward to writing about those. but if you feel like you need to, then whatever. I wont hold it against you. |
