2013 Bleeps And/or Bloops You Might've Missed

Some electronic releases this year didn't really get the attention they deserve. Obviously I don't know them all, but here's what I liked and seems to be underexposed. No order.
1Emika
DVA

The production is obviously brilliant (that bass!!!) making it a shame that some tracks seemingly only rely on her voice. Great nonetheless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvMuVleBoAE
2Exit Records
Mosaic: Volume Two

Behold, the return of Autonomic! Or at least a nice collection of not-very-conventional drum and bass tracks with a few great standouts.

Youth Code

Harsh, violent and raw old skool EBM. http://youthcode.bandcamp.com/album/youth-code
5Genotype (UK)
Lessons In Depth

This list really seems to contain quite a bit of all the minimal, "Autonomic" drum and bass (I blame Deviant and his recs). But it just seems a lot of this stuff is being made again these days and Genotype remains a key figure in the scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3gPZT-JMBM
6ASC
Programme 01

ASC doesn't allow you to call this drum and bass, but that's becaus it isn't. Yes, it's 170 bpm, but it's mainly techno with some IDM/DnB leanings. Oh, not only does he have two EPs on this list, there are two Eps featuring his material still coming up and judging from the samples, they are amazing, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OBgy27b_I8
7Forest Swords
Engravings

Critics seem to love this a lot because it's bleep bloop but it isn't really bleeping or blooping (some refer to this phenomenon as "organic"). But seriously, this is an almost flawless album, an immersive experience and quite a trip. It's something you just have to experience, rather than just read about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSYjkDW_nwc
8Ikonika
Aerotropolis

Just like her debut LP, this is all about just having fun, irrespective of genre purism. That being said: where Ikonika's debut was a bit cluttered and over-the-top, Aerotropolis clearly benifits from highly improved, cleaner production. The summer is over but this will make you happy anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VNs85M0Bb0

Disconnect To Connect

Very, very, smooth, crispy deep house. The production is so tight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-etZ-iF3SY
10E.m.m.a.
Blue Gardens

Probably the most fun (and also one of the best) garage release of the year. RIYL the other stuff Keysound is putting out, but also Ikonika, Guido, Zomby, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1y5Cb0zXMo
11ASC
Machine Love

EP of the year? Why did you even bother too ask? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLIKEOthYgc
12Erika
Hexagon Cloud

Smooth and warm Detroit electro. I would've liked it to be more enganging but it's still nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb91o1TwWAU
13Maya Jane Coles
Comfort

Some of the guest vocalists are entirely redundant (some, like Tricky, are awesome) but in the end this is definitely more hit than miss for the UK house poster girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olgBox366eQ
14Sorrow (UK)
Dreamstone

Where E.m.m.a. gave us the most colorful, vintage video game-y garage release, this is the more organic one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Fn-MsZwzCo
15Silvie Loto
Solstice

Now that's a great debut. RIYL the whole "dub techno" thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEUTLUJbdHA
16Laurel Halo
Behind The Green Door

You can never really predict how a Laurel Halo release will sound like: this EP is her take on bassy techno (and it's fantastic). A new album is also coming this year, looking forward to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENVeEBbGk00
17Kyle Hall
The Boat Party

Raw, rough, Detroit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyYwDKMFVzI
18Phon.o
Schn33/Go

This is not like the garage-y album he released last year, but a more staightforward techno banger. It's good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPFNjV20sao
19Ghostpoet
Some Say I So I Say Light

Dark, trippy hip hop. Nice progression from his debut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABkQ96dh0eQ
20Felix K
Flowers Of Destruction

Complex, abstract and criminally overlooked decomposition of drum and bass from one of the best artists (= producer, DJ and label head) in the genre. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZrfq-A
21Ena
Bilateral

A very weird sounding album that is partially minimal drum and bass and partially dubby techno. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VmgvMQFV6k
22DjRum
Seven Lies

Is it as good as his Mountains EP? No. Is it great? Oh yes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSudPSU46O8

Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself

It carries some brilliant tracks and the atmosphere is very consistent but maybe it's a bit too long. Anyway, still good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wPJPintfrM
24DJ Rashad
Rollin

I don't know that much about footwork but it's a bit of hype atm. Anyway, this is good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF7RQHCstMk
25Kryptic Minds
Namaste

Classic, "deep" dubstep how it should be done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TndA01HzNcM
