Toondude's Top 10 Worst Albums Of 2014

So with the year finally drawing to a close, everyone on Sputnik is now wrapping up their lists of their favorite albums of the year. But I'm kinda surprised to see almost no lists of people's worst albums of the year. So I might as well make one just for the hell of it. Now keep in mind, I didn't listen to everything that came rout this year, and this is just based on my opinion. I'm sure there are people out there that actually liked the albums on this list, but for me, they were rather crappy. This is also applies to albums that I rated 2.5 or below.
10Seether
Isolate and Medicate

Seether is just pretty much a mediocre mainstream band overall, and this album is no exception. Granted it is better than their last two albums, but even so, it's still a Seether album, which basically means that it's not good at all.
9In Flames
Siren Charms

An album that was pretty much dead the moment the artwork showed itself, In Flames managed to create their most dull and uninspired album to date. Only the first two songs really appealed to me. Other than that, nothing else to say.
8Black Veil Brides
Black Veil Brides

Honestly, I think these guys could make a good album, and this did manage to come close. However, this album basically proves that Andy fucking Ballsack just needs to leave this band. His voice is so unbearably horrible that I'd be more willing to stab nails through my ears.
7Capture the Crown
Reign of Terror

Other than the song "Red Light District," this was just an overall forgettable album. Not to mention, the lyrics suck as well. While I will commend that it's not unbearably god-awful, it's everything you would expect from an already mediocre deathcore band.
6Nine Lashes
From Water to War

Yet another bland and overproduced Christian rock album that is honestly ten years too late. I honestly thought their first two albums were great, but this just falls under the group of albums that no one is going to listen to after two years of its release.
5Theory of a Deadman
Savages

While a vast improvement over their last three albums, it's still your typical, bland radio rock album. And if that's your kind of thing, then by all means enjoy it. But lets face it, Theory of a Deadman will always be recognized as "that Nickelback rip-off" band.
4Nickelback
No Fixed Address

It's Nickelback attempting to sound like Taylor Swift, what else did you expect?
3Red
Release the Panic: Recalibrated

It's bad to make a stain on your career (though granted I did actually like the original album), but it's worse than to trying to "fix" is by rehashing the same damn production values of your previous work to an album that was supposed to be different, and then apologizing for it. And
if that didn't make any sense to you, then let me put it to you straight. This sucks, the original was WAY better.
2Family Force 5
Time Stands Still

Crunkcore is still alive...? Wow.
1Thousand Foot Krutch
Oxygen: Inhale

Quite possibly the most uninspired, watered-down, lazy, and forgettable release I've listened to in years. And that alone is an achievement in my opinion. Never in my life have I ever come across and album that was just unbearably dull and disgustingly awful. Pretty much the moment I listened to the first song, I immediately placed that 1 rating on this album. Not only did Thousand Foot Krutch crap on their "legacy," they pretty much killed it. I doubt they'll ever get their thumbs out of their asses at this point.
