HangEmHigh 07.08.10	Lebron didn't even request the special. The special was an idea from his agents, sponsors, and ESPN. Most of the earnings are going to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. If you've ever met Lebron you'd actually find out he's a somewhat humble guy. But if you're that big you kind of have to give into the hype.

Vermeer 07.08.10	yeah, that's bullshit all right, all three times MJ retired he held a press conference announcing it, but that's customary for all major players. obviously Magic did after he found out he'd acquired AIDS, and Bird did it and so on. so that was par for the course when MJ returned to the Bulls after almost two years away from the game, he released a press statement that just said "I'm back." no press conference, no TV special. nothing. Lebron pisses me off, even though i hope he goes to the Bulls

Vermeer 07.08.10	FreePizzaDay, you know i have love for you bro. it's just the unfortunate mixture of my two favorite sports teams and their rivalry with Cleveland teams. the Bulls are my favorite NBA team, and all i remember growing up was their rivalry with the Cavs (and the Knicks, and to a lesser extent the Heat). growing up near Pittsburgh, the Steelers are my favorite NFL team, and there's an age-old rivalry with the Browns. i hate the Ravens too of course, though i respect them
