The fuck? It sounds as if Tony did all the vocals in one take. I know they didn't want to recreate the polished magic all the way back them, but this is simply ehh. It only truly works because I know (and love) the original. Beyond that, it sounds like a bad vocal cover.
Interesting to hear how tony's voice has changed overtime though

Still stoked to hear FullMoon

Meh! The vocal delivery is worse than the original, and so is the sound of the instrumentation.

I don't really see the issue with this one. I wasn't a huge fan of the original but I think his vocals sound aight. I like the production and being able to actually distinguish between instruments.

Destruction Preventer will be interesting

"new"

Probably one of my favorite SA songs. This wasn't bad but hardly an improvement. I still don't see the point in re-recording this album.
Edit: 1:50 sounds weird as shit. Why are the keyboards mixed so low?
|
| |
The mixing I'm general seems odd, especially the opening riff
|
| |
The thing that bothers me most (Tony aside) is the solo.
|
| |
Didn't think it was that bad, but the whole song just offers nothing new
|
| |
Never mind, this new version is growing on me, I'll keep my judgments for me until I'll hear the whole
record.

The production sounds too dulled in some parts (namely the guitar and keyboards), but otherwise I'm surprised how true it stays to the original. I might actually prefer Tony's vocals on this version. It's just smoother and easier to listen to. Overall, I'm interested in the rest of the release.

He doesn't give a ding dong anymore? A shame.
I actually think that I prefer the original version more, because Kingdom for a Heart was by my favorite song on that record. Most of the other songs didn't really do a lot for me though, so I'm curious to hear if this new recording adds anything.

I think the song worked well purely because it was so melodramatic in vocal delivery. All of that is gone now. One thing that's lacking from the sound of it are their typical harmonies and I hope they don't ruin them on a song like Replica
