Imagine if he'd put his savantism toward something like science or mathematics. We'd have thirty different cures for cancer and AIDS by now and he'd have hand-discovered at least fifty potential alien civilizations in the galaxy.

SharkTooth

Except judging from the average quality of his work most of those cures would be duds anyway and the civilizations he discovered would have been destroyed thousands of years ago

yeah but the metric buttload of effort he'd have done would've sent shockwaves through the scientific communities and probably allowed the more competent scientists to actually make a lot more progress. I mean if Buckethead does a thousand things and they all fail then that means that no other scientist will accidentally make those mistakes, so the world will benefit. :D

if he invents a thing using a certain idea and it fails then he'd have at least established a new way of doing something, which would allow other people to work to actually perfect that idea past its buckethead-halfass stage into something useful. Like when NASA puts out a metric buttload of data on star light measurements then gives the data to actual humans to sift through and find interesting things (like planets). Buckethead is the super computer that just spits out data, other humans would sift through his accomplishments to find the meaningful bits.

What I'm saying is that Buckethead should become a cosmologist or a biomechanic because reason and hilarity.

I wonder if Buckethead will keep doing this for like 3 years just for the money and then release the best album in history of music.
Prob not.

There should be a news article every time he drops an album, it's the same for most artists on this site so I don't think it's fair that most of his albums get proper coverage here

TheSonomaDude

I'm sure if he did a compilation of his absolute best songs, it'd be a 4.5/5 on the site

kind of hard to sift through 600 hours of material though. I don't envy the dude with that job.

And how long would the comp be? Three hours if we're being picky?

Ok guys, I've got some bad news for you but maybe you should be told: Santa Claus doesn't exist and Bucket Head is several guys who had a good idea on how to get some attention.
Ah, and also, Caroline Quine, author of the giant serie of children's books "Nancy Drew" is actually something like ten persons. Welcome to the world of artistic deception.

As much as I love this guy, can he just take some time off? These albums somehow keep getting less special.

Not to mention he should stop releasing an album every day.

I love me some Buckethead but there's absolutely no way to keep up. But some of the pikes have been incredible. I also want to note that in my opinion it's a healing process for him. He's lost his mom and dad in the last year and they'd both been sick for a while. I feel like this is sort of his grieving process. That said there's been some incredible moments during the Pike series but it's just too much to take in for anyone.

EverythingEvil2113

Obviously all speculation, but we all handle grief in a different way. Music is his outlet and he's immersed himself in it totally (and then some).

Yeah, he really cranked it up over the past 2 years, and his discography was already ridiculous before that.

I thought he was crazy releasing 4-5 albums a year like 7 years ago. Now he's on course to release over 100 this year alone.
