Barnes vocals ruin this. [2]

This is actually really good.
| |
Yeah can no longer defend him, enjoyed his vox in early CC but after the first couple SFU albums they've become unbearable.
| |
Yea
| |
Still Six Feet Under, still entirely unbearable. As many jokes are made at shitty grindcore / metalcore vocalists' expense, at the end of the day Chris Barnes will remain among the worst of the worst.
| |
these guys make me so excited! they relase the best album of 2015 for sure last time nd now they're back who else can feel the excitement
| |
not me
| |
"they relase the best album of 2015 for sure last time nd now they're back who else can feel the excitement"
obvious troll is obvious. I can't remember anything that came out in '15 except for Soilwork and Bloodshot Dawn. Lame year for metal.
| |
Barnes needs some vocal coaching.
| |
Instrumentally the song's OK, a few nice moments but overall standard death metal. Then you get Barnes's poorly produced, poorly performed vocals and it all goes downhill fast. It could be OK with a different vocalist because the musicians are all pretty accomplished.
| |
nooooooooooooooooooooooo, why didn't they just shoot themselves like 15 years ago???
| |
SFU are best when they just go death metal, instead of the death-n-roll they like to do.
I'm fine with Barnes' vocals. He's not where he used to be, but his vocals are still unique in their own way. At this point, Barnes holds a similar appeal that Nick Holmes from Bloodbath does. Holmes does it better, but still.
| |
this song is super similar to Hammer Smashed Face... Fast intro, small bass solo, then kicks into Barnes' vocals with the fast.
| |
how is this a six feet under record, looks like that one dude did everything nd drums sound programmmd
| |
I hope this isn't the final mix. If Barnes is going to sound like the guy from Suffocation circa 1991, they might as well make the guitars sound super chunky to actually fit with his voice. This mostly clean style doesn't fit his gravely voice. And the drums sound bad.
| |
i feellike when people that dislike metal say shit like ''i hate the cookie monster vocals'' they just heard chris barnes and made them hate metal bc he really does sound like cookie monster
| |
The song is badass, the vocals are not.
| |
"If Barnes is going to sound like the guy from Suffocation circa 1991"
Frank Mullen
Suffocation has always had the same vocalist, though he doesn't tour with the band really anymore.
| |
Sorta thought they'd only had one vocalist but I don't jam Suffocation much. His vox sounded best on Human Waste, which reminds me of Barnes' vox here.
| |
Not bad instrumentally, just average. But the vocalist is probably the worst ever
| |
This is why u should smoke weed
