sweet yeah this is pretty good
| |
I'M HYPE
| |
Plz don't pull a refused
| |
@hogan truly the one and only reason i'm not foaming at the mouth with excitement
| |
The Shape of At The Drive-In To Come
| |
song's good
album artwork is sweet
im hype
| |
You're all going to jizz all over this aren't you
| |
This is like the anti Bowie news from last year - if this means Mars Volta are no more I've never been happier to hear of the death of anything
| |
Note: If the new album sounds like Mars Volta my enthusiasm will be tempered somewhat
| |
I can dig this, sweet energy.
| |
Mars Volta have been dead for a while dude.
| |
this sounds basically like RoC which i'm ok with
| |
I'm saying this makes any future Mars Volta material that little bit more unlikely so...really, really stoked about that.
Also At the Drive-In are actually quite good so there's that too.
Win, win
| |
album artwork is actually gorgeous
| |
better than Governed by Contagions was so HYPE
| |
May 5th is also the release date of new Full of Hell. That's gonna be one hell of a day.
| |
Nice AFI song
| |
Artwork is like Josh Graham x Shepard Fairey, which is pretty awesome
| |
Listening, will update comment once I am done
Edit: Yeah...I dunno. I really don't like this one as much as Governed By Contagions. Maybe it has to grow on me, but I'm not a fan. The album artwork is beautiful though.
| |
pretty lackluster tbh
| |
Terrible album name, but whatever. Still stoked.
| |
Song rules.
| |
New Refused album is isn't bad at all tbh
| |
Awful album title
Hype regardless
| |
New Refused was great, people expecting a followup worthy of their genre defining record had their expectations set way too high.
| |
Despite me not liking this track, I just pre-ordered the album LP! There's only 500 of them! Get them while they last!
| |
hostage and postage don't rhyme
DUMB
| |
Not bad, vocals sound a little washed out in a sense, but this was fun
| |
agreed about the vocals
guitars are sweet though
| |
I'm cautiously optimistic about this album. I just don't want a repeat of Refused and American Football
| |
Pretty solid, though it does sound more like ANTEMASQUE than anything ATDI have released.
| |
sounds solid, definitely hyped
| |
I bet this will be a good old 3. I'm hoping for another Relationship of Command though.
"The Shape of At The Drive-In To Come"
Shhhhhhhhhh
"New Refused album is isn't bad at all tbh"
Its sadly pretty bad.
| |
song is sick, and these guys are finally coming to Minnesota so fuck yeaaaaaa
| |
was jim ward involved at all with this album? if not, i'm not really hyped....
| |
Sweet guitar work , hopefully the whole album will be equally consistent. Still have hopes that this isn't gonna be Refused.
Btw...This might be the worst album title I've heard in a while, but cover looks good.
| |
Album will be released May 5 and the title "Interalia" is Latin for "Among Other Things"
| |
The album title would be fine without the dots between the syllables
| |
The Dots are the problem, not the word.
| |
Pretty solid, though it does sound more like ANTEMASQUE than anything ATDI have released. [2]
| |
predictably pretentious album name.. amazing artwork.. album will be a great big pile of mediocrity with three great songs on top..
| |
I like this better than the first single, but it still seems watered down.
| |
Yo, bubs, you take that back.
E•MO•TION is a masterpiece, and ATDI are barely worthy to ape off of CRJ.
| |
Album title is djenty
inb4 Genitalia
| |
song is way better than the first one. i officially have hope that this might be good.
| |
I like this song more than Governed By Contagions, but not by much.
The artwork is pretty great.
| |
Hoping that this is good but these 2 tracks really haven't grabbed me too much
| |
Not nearly as great as governed
| |
THATS THE WAY THE GEEYATEEN CLAPS
| |
Because of this article I just listened to Pattern Against User for the first time in over a year. Love that shit : )
| |
Dayum that album artwork is sweet
| |
Also song rocks
| |
THE HYPE TRAIN IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!1!!111
| |
got a feeling it's gonna be a 3.5 at best
| |
As long as it's better than Acrobatic Tenement I'll be content
| |
Acrobatic is probably their best album
| |
how many times must he say photograph
| |
"Acrobatic is probably their best album"
i respect your opinion but it's dumb and wrong
| |
dope
| |
FUCK YES
also.. Rise records?
| |
rise has been sporadically signing decent bands in recent years (the flatliners, hot water music, the bouncing souls, and some others). they obviously recognize that the fashion core shit they'd been peddling is on its last legs.
| |
YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES
| |
Dumb and wrong [3]
| |
wasnt the last song they released complete trash?
| |
minty901 jesus christ when will you finally just log off forever
| |
What's with these bands signing to Rise? I'd at least think Epitaph. Anyways, the song is fine. But I just think it's fine, which is sort of disappointing. It lacks a certain bite that they had earlier on. The attack isn't as pointed as it used to be on all fronts.
| |
he's right tho
stop being a wanker everywhere steve
| |
SteveOffProbation wooaah. ok. have we interacted before? I didnt realise my presence here had a sustained impact on you.
| |
steveoffprobation is torts
| |
Meme records
| |
idk who that is either but dude's a festering taint pimple
| |
who's torts?
| |
Hmmm. This is pretty decent. Not big on the first single.
| |
yeah agreed. I miss cedrics harsher vocals and the overall more aggressive sound they had.
| |
The song is great though. Sounds like Relationship of Command pt 2 with awesome production. Kinda has a progressive touch to it. Little on the funky side
| |
I'm into it
| |
song's pretty meh
| |
This is going to suck. It really blows they've had to resort to bringing this band back for some of the $$$, and judging from the quality of these songs, that's all it is for. Just feels fake.
| |
Two duds so far. I'm not expecting anything better than 3 quality.
| |
Christ, think it'll be a miracle if it gets even that.
| |
bad bad, not good
| |
It seems a decent amount of people have enjoyed the new songs, so I figure it'll average out to the very low 3's.
| |
what the hell is this production
| |
Nice track, hype intensifies
| |
I'm an optimistic so i can see this getting a 3,5..
| |
'It really blows they've had to resort to bringing this band back for some of the $$$'
Aren't some of these guys fairly well off?
| |
I have hope.
| |
Cautiously optimistic with this one.
| |
I think it will be okay. I expected no album form them ever again so even if it is bad, so what? Gonna spin it with low expectations and hope I'm surprised.
| |
So ready for this
| |
album's gonna be catchy and glossy and anyone who wanted more was setting themselves up for failure, nothing about more recent volta should've given you expectation for something grittier or really exceptional. tbh i think this is wayyyyy better than it could've been, at least it's fun
| |
what the hell is this production [2]
| |
I have crazy high expectations for this tbh
| |
rockin
| |
Where are people getting this impression that RoC was "gritty"? That shit glistened.
| |
How is the title awful. At least it isn't cheesy. Some of these song titles are pretty interesting. Hoping for some longer songs on the record.
| |
It's just a stupid title. Just name it Inter Alia. No need for the stylization. It's like having a kid and you want to name her Hayley, but that isn't unique enough so you go with Heigh-Lee.
| |
Yeah Relationship was a really clean record. Like I feel like the lower fidelity 2000 production might stick out as rawness in a few minds, but the thing is that this new production is CLEANER still. They should have dialed it back a lot cause the ultramodern thing doesn't so well for them. Also, from the 2 tracks so far, the songwriting just doesn't seem to have as much momentum or energy as it used to. At least they put on an amazing show when I saw them in Nashville last year. Lastly, I'm convinced that none of their titles mean anything.
| |
"Pretty solid, though it does sound more like ANTEMASQUE than anything ATDI have released" [3]
expecting a 3.5 - 4 range record
| |
Hmm a lot of retarded comments on here apparently
| |
This has grown on me. Not bad.
| |
both songs are at least as good as Relationship of Command. Nothing classic yet like from Vaya or In Casino Out, but I'm sure they're saving the best for the whole album.
| |
