I think they the most overrated band in the post hardcore genre. They are a major hit or miss band for me. With that being said, if you haven't already, at least check out Worship and Tribute. Songs like Tip Your Bartender, Mu Empire, and Radio Cambodia are fantastic and are worth checking out.

I dont think the album is perfect, I think songs like Ape Dos Mil and Trailer Park Jesus are slow, out of place and they mess with the flow of the album. Of course my opinion is subjective, I'm not saying that my opinion is the right one. All I'm saying is that calling it flawless is rather bold and rather silly.

Won't ever miss out on a chance to hype Glassjaw. It's hard for me to understand how anyone who has given their music a good listen could see them as overrated, they provide a huge well of depth in how they attack songwriting and sound-layering. It says a lot when some of my absolute favorite tunes from a band are on an unreleased EP mix("G is for Glassjaw"). I can't think of any equivalent band to match their diverse output in the post-hardcore genre, from aggressive to softer tunes, they have found ways to stay ahead of the game and relevant. This was very clearly proven with Coloring Book, I can't imagine any other band in the genre capable of writing songs that sound anywhere near similar to "Gold", "Vanilla Poltergeist Snake", and "Daytona White". Who else writes nearly as forward-thinking as them? Hope this comes out tomorrow, I will freak :D

I think all of their albums have tracks I press skip on occasionally without actually affecting my outlook on the album as a whole.

From what I've heard, it's being described as what the follow-up to W&T would have sounded like mixed with OCG. I'm stoked as shit, even if I wanted more songs like Stations of The New Cross, which I consider to be their best work.

Honestly sounds like a little bit of every album - it's got the darkness and aggression of EYEWTKAS and OCG, the progressive melodies / structures of W&T and the rhythmic groove / experimentation of CB. I'm loving it so far
