Band has not been relevant in 20 years
|
| |
So? not being relevant doesn't mean that they suck
|
| |
I listen to skinny puppy and they're not relevant anymore, does that mean that I'm listening a band that sucks?
|
| |
fuck you
|
| |
Coming back with a new singer took Gutts
|
| |
Singing in this band is a cursed position. I wouldn't recommend it.
|
| |
what the hell
|
| |
Is the vocalist position in STP the real-life version of being a drummer for Spinal Tap?
|
| |
Song's actually pretty enjoyable.
|
| |
Why didn't they just break up after they fired Scott Weiland?
|
| |
Flying planes ain't paying the bills and the pilots gotta eat
|
| |
get it?
|
| |
This actually isn't bad at all
|
| |
He sounds like a really good fit honestly.
|
| |
Interesting
|
| |
i'm not super attached to this band but his voice works really well here
|
| |
Sounds different but this is nice way to work for new album
|
| |
STP singers seem to die.. preemptive RIP
|
| |
something something gutts and glory
|
| |
They lose Chester, then get the next best thing to having him.
Sounds pretty good.
|
| |
I dig this
|
| |
Put the song on, mind drifted to other things, found my left leg bouncing enthusiastically. Good sign, it rarely ever happens.
The vocalist is a nice fit. The track makes me wanna finally take a shot at STP's discography.
|
| |
"STP singers seem to die.."
All people seem to die
could this be a correlation!?

he didn't even say the band sucks wtf
|
| |
Yea, but they get on the fast track to death from the STP connection
STP confirmed as Singers That Perish, an illuminati death party
|
| |
WAIT... listening to the song, and it's not half bad. Nothing special though. Band should break up
3/5
|
| |
Spirit I honestly did not even catch that lol
|
| |
THEY AREN'T FAMEASS ANYMORE GOD DAMMIT. ACCORDING TO 'bloc'. ENOUGH SAID.
|
| |
Don't know if he is a good fit until I hear him on the old tracks, which probably will sound like a good karaoke performance.
And the song sounds like nothing like STP.
|
| |
i want to sing on stone temple songs
the cd
|
| |
You would be a perfect fit my man.
|
| |
want to send them my new CD the second part haha
|
| |
It's not revolutionary, but nothing offensive either. I'm sure whatever album they put out with him will be perfectly pleasant, though I'm sure I'll just end up sticking to their old stuff unless I get really surprised.

The lifeless carcass gets prodded with a stick made of plastic held by the hands of greed.
|
| |
Love Scott and wish they'd just change the band's name (like they did back in the 90's when they kicked him out the first time) if they're going to use a different singer.
|
| |
Why keep the name? Brand recognition, however cynical a reason that may be. Both STP spinoffs failed to get anywhere near as much attention as the original, in spite of the material retaining quality. This will probably lead to more units shifted, if just for the morbid "all of the band's previous singers are dead now" factor that the comments snapped up in a jiffy. "New band with all of the surviving members of this other band whose singers are dead now" doesn't quite fly off the tongue as easy as the conclusions the thread arrived at here.
That said, the song sounds okay, easily my favourite material put out by these fellows since Army of Anyone. Has a bit of a restrained vibe, like everybody's feeling each other out still, hopefully the album will be more frivolous in places. Good on them though.

| |
I don't think they'll ever reach their former quality again but I definitely enjoy this more than their last EP.
|
| |
I'm confused. I saw on FB last night that AIC's William Duval was gonna do frontman duties.

When a member dies there's no reason in changing the name.
|
| |
Not gonna lie. New guy sounds good.
|
| |
What do you mean why keep the name? The DeLeo brothers made the band along with Scott. Their sound is recognizable and they deserve to have the name.
|
| |
Why can't they just call themselves Talk Show again?
