Soutaisei Riron tease live album 2019-07-17 by JohnnyoftheWell STAFF | 3 Comments | The influential Japanese indie-pop band Soutaisei Riron has released a teaser for their upcoming live album, Shiraberu Soutaiseiriron (out July 24th). While the video indicates an ambitious scope in both visual design and expanded arrangements of the songs featured, this release is particularly significant because of band's longstanding media policy. In the past Soutaisei Riron have refused interviews and photography, prohibiting cameras and recordings at their shows to the effect that there is virtually no trace of any publicly accessible live material from them. As such, this release makes a break from their reclusive images and offers a first glimpse into their performance envirionment.
The the setlist is confirmed as follows, featuring a collection of songs from the last three Soutaisei Riron albums as well as frontwoman Etsuko Yakishimaru's solo work (including the prize-winning Watashi wa Jinrui / I'm Humanity):
