UFO's Pete Way dies at 69 2020-08-15 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 7 Comments | Founding UFO bassist Pete Way died at the age of sixty-nine after suffering severe injuries in a domestic accident, two months earlier. The legendary bassist died at the hospital with his wife Jenny by his side on Friday morning.
Pete Way also founded Waysted and Fastway, and was the former bassist for Ozzy Osbourne.
UFO was one of the main exponents of British hard-rock during the seventies, influencing bands like Iron Maiden or Metallica. The band released twenty-two albums and sold twenty million records.
