I genuinely thought this band was ruined for me after that last album, but this definitely sounds promising. I Just hope Heafy keeps his ungodly generic clean vocals to a minimum this time around.
| |
I really like his new cleans, he just needs better vocal lines than on WTDMS tbh
| |
Pretty good song, let's hope they keep it up
| |
Pretty rad. This band really hasn’t let me down, regardless of how others feel, every album has been enjoyable for me.
Shogun was huuuuge for me as a kid.
| |
They've been great the last two albums, and if I have to guess, next one is also going to be a banger
| |
song rules
| |
Yea, Triv are quality on record
| |
Song is actually pretty dope mmmmkay
| |
Great song, Trivium has been on a very good roll.
| |
Absolutely rips
| |
Song fucks. Better than new At The Gates.
| |
Holy shit that ripped
| |
"I Just hope Heafy keeps his ungodly generic clean vocals to a minimum this time around."
Cease this heresy
| |
Nah dude, his clean vocals are Shinedown levels of generic.
| |
Pretty damn good. This actually made me get back into these guys and I had never heard The Sin and the Sentence before. Holy shit what an awesome album
| |
Song starts at 2:23, you're welcome
| |
Heafy's cleans are fine.
| |
Wow this is rock solid. Sounds like they got their entire history of sound rolled up into one song.
| |
Absolutely rips, could be one of the best songs they've done in a while.
| |
This is the best thing they've ever done, and it's not even close
| |
Wow ihsahn collaborating with trivium. Never thought I'd see that
| |
the cleans themselves are fine but nothing else in the music works to support or heighten them, so they sound explicitly separate from the instrumentation like they were tacked on afterward instead of the instrumentation being written around them. at the very least they shouldn't be so loud in the mix since the guitars should move with them, instead of so far underneath. but hey that's melocore for you i guess
| |
They sound kinda like soilwork with those cleans
| |
"Nah dude, his clean vocals are Shinedown levels of generic."
The vocals are the only decent part of Shinedown
| |
New drummer is going in on this one
| |
Finally listened to this with headphones, good stuff.
| |
Don't like the drum sound.
| |
Yeah it's pretty artificial sounding
| |
This might be one of their best songs. I'm excited for the upcoming album.
| |
Damn this is great! A definite step-up from the last record, and I even liked that one quite a bit
| |
"The vocals are the only decent part of Shinedown"
Attention Attention was a great album i will not have this slander
| |
i really like this sound.
| |
cleans are suprisingly good too.
| |
no
| |
I'm by no means calling his vocals shit; I'm just simply stating his vocals has no character and 0 texture. Fucker simply has a dull voice.
| |
Awesome
| |
“I'm by no means calling his vocals shit; I'm just simply stating his vocals has no character and 0 texture. Fucker simply has a dull voice.”
I’m willing to bet you can’t really quantify or explain what that even means and if we discussed this to a stupid extent it would just end up becoming clear to anyone reading that you confused “I don’t like them” with anything objective and have just tried to justify your feelings with descriptors after the fact.
Tends to happen with art.
| |
Ok song. Way better than anything from the last album
| |
@UniverseCalling
>you confused “I don’t like them” with anything objective
Tends to happen with Sputnik
| |
I think his cleans are mostly fine but Trivium is generally at their best when he keeps them to a minimum (especially after he blew his voice out)
This song is like the perfect use of his voice imo
| |
I pray the whole album is in this style and they don't try to throw some octane bullshit on there
| |
This absolutely slaps
| |
This ain't Shogun Part II.
| |
For real, why put any bland radio rock songs on the next album, when we can have more of this.
| |
This song is more impressive than anything on their last 4 albums. THIS is what they need to keep doing.
| |
This was pretty great.
| |
Matt Heafy is the only singer I know of that impersonates singing while singing. It's off-putting and sticks out like a sore thumb every time I hear it.
| |
^^^that's a perfect description lmaooo
| |
lol his voice does seem to change with every album
| |
