Sadly the chorus is not too good.

the sound of autopilot

True to the mf signum.
At first listen the drums are too busy.

Sadly, I agree on them being on autopilot. I really didnt like City Burials, yet Fall of Hearts might be my favorite album of theirs. For me though, this is shaping up to be 3 out of the last 4 that I don’t like that much. This is depressing.

they had a fantastic run, but I guess no band can be perfect forever.

This is shaping up to be a stronger album than City Burials, which I thought was underrated.

They really went for the worst possible drum writing they could come up with.

birds song good skandinavian core

"Personally, this is my favorite Katatonia album since Night is the New Day" That's the last album I decided I wanted to hear from this band. Got bored of the same ol' with them after that. That is a fantastic album, though.

Good song. Main riff reminded me of LFDGD.

kinda boring? not awful

Haven't been truly excited by any of their releases since Dead End Kings. Disappointing

Song is okay, might grow on me. They tend to have one of these more upbeat tempo songs on each album, but this one meanders a bit too much without any very memorable parts. And then there's the bridge where Jonas is just mumbling seemingly random numbers to the listener. Wasn't even sure the chorus was the chorus until it came back around, sounds more like a second verse. Either very looking forward to checking this thing on release, but expectations are a bit lower after City Burials.

Enjoyable but by no means mind blowing

so far City Burials' non-single tracks destroy these singles for me but maybe the new is hiding the best stuff too
