yawn
this band do be getting more boring with every subsequent release
| | | so far the two songs they released are more interesting than most of the previous record.
| | | you can tell this is gonna suck hard based on the features... like, what in the actual fuck? Damn, this band really is dead
| | | don't like the chorus but i like the harmonic twiddles in teh verse. it gave me "here comes something cool" feelings but the chorus sounds like
the lightning seeds or something lol
| | | No love for Hamburg on this tour huh ):
| | | no love for Belgium or France on this tour huh ):
| | | argh, just realised they're playing Leeds... now I'm gonna be so conflicted if this is baaaaaad, really didn't like their last record either
would be cool to see them though, hmm... one to ponder!
| | | Have they said anything about when tix go on sale, or just released dates thus far?
| | | Band avoids playing Ohio for fear they will be more boring than it
| | | "no love for Belgium or France on this tour huh"
as it should be amirite
| | | dede come to amsterdam
| | | sput meetup in september in amsterdam ?????
| | | hell yeah lfg
| | | yes!!!
| | | Never was a fan of this band. Tried numerous times, but I can't get passed the boring ass vocalist
| | | same Pickle, not necessarily the vocalist that is the problem but they've always bored me. Tried Alligator and Boxer so many times
| | | The National wouldn't exactly work with 'livelier' vox, embrace the baritone
| | | Trouble will find me is their best album no cap. This song is alright, not their worst for sure. The last album was a snooze fest and a half.
| | | like the album title but not sold on the single. tayswift isn't a surprising feature because aren't they writing her music for her lately? band will almost always depend on the lyrical quality
are they any good live?
| | | i enjoyed this
| | | So now it turns out that everybody hates the band.
| | | @Faraudo that's what I was going to say lol
| | | I wish it weren’t so but this is very mid indeed
| | | Way better than anything off their last record. Will probably see them in Amsterdam, last time was soo good.
| | | i think it's aight
| | | I would say there were two or three better songs than this on the last album.
Plus about ten worse ones.
| | | ‘So now it turns out that everybody hates the band.’
Hates what they have become? Yeah, sure
Still a class discog up until and including Trouble (& also some of SWB)
| | | I like it
| | | why is paul mescal's head on the artwork? this band's phoeB shilling knows no bounds
was all set to hate this (and am not a fan of the percussion (and it's a long way from their best)), but it's well above the dismal standard they set with their last alb. tentatively optimistic
| | | So basically you'd rather have an actual news report on weather in the tropics?
| | | This will be better than IAETF I can already tell.
also, Trouble Will Find Me is sooo far from their best record lol.
| | | this song is actually quite good
| | | Hmm, only the lamest shit that I've heard in a while, so pretty good The National song considering what they've released in the last decade. Too bad the other song they've dropped recently is even worse.
| | | New song, "Eucalyptus" is total ass
| | | haven't checked yet but I thought the first two singles from the new album were partial ass
| | | this is fine, a step up from the last album which was indeed the snoozefest some fellas are saying it was. the new single gives me boxer/alligator vibes tho which is great. It's a bit repetitive but then again some of their best songs generally are
also yes, Trouble Will Find Me is definitely not their best album, or in the top 3 even
