No Longineu W. Parsons III, no reunion tour... or something. He was the most talented member of the band and carried them most of the time.

Would go for Anberlin.

Would love to see them if they had some Canadian dates. Lift a Sail and their Self-titled were still great without Longineu W. Parsons III. Ryan Key solo stuff has been decent as well.

We all have those bands where the entire discography is rated highly. Sowing catches shit for Yellowcard because they're not a Sput-approved band.

I really wish LPIII would come back. I know I still rated their latter discog highly anyway but even I can admit that they lost some serious steam when he departed.

I'm also really hoping for a new album. At this point in my life I don't really go to shows anymore. It's nice to see they're playing again, but without new songs it doesn't do too much for me personally.

This would be really cool, but nobody ever comes to Alaska lol so I'm not seeing this.

Without LP3 I don’t care. After he left the band totally sucked IMO.

No respect to them. Hope they flop tbh. Going after Juice WRLD’s estate lost my respect for the band completely. That and they have only three songs I can name off of the top of my head. The violin gimmick got really annoying quick.

Looks like post is deleted now but I took screenshots; in Nov 2021, Ryan replied to someone's comment about how the Juice Wrld lawsuit killed their love of Yellowcard. Ryan had this to say

"That's actually incorrect. There were two other published writers on the song and we had to sort that out. His death was a terrible tragedy and as soon as the legal matters were settled we dropped the suit. You may not agree with our decision to file a claim, but we had three world renowned musicologists show their findings to indicate plagiarism. We tried for months to contact someone in that camp to discuss before we filed the claim and never got any response. Either way, as I said, there were things that had to get sorted out with the other writers named after he passed and in the end, the claim was dropped. Sorry to lose you as a fan, but I won't stand for this "you sued a dead artist" thing because it's just untrue.

when another dude in the thread said Juice Wrld was trash anyway, Ryan said this

"I don't agree with speaking ill of another artist like that. I'm just trying to provide the facts in a situation that was extremely misreported by the press."

StonedManatee sounds like you had no respect in the first place and just like that you have a convenient scapegoat to justify acting like they weren't as good as they were

best pop punk band of all time. don't you forget it

No Parsons? Boooooooo!

Side note: caught Parsons filling in for Evergreen Terrace at last years Furnace Fest. was pretty random but had no idea he was into the scene.

Happy to hear Yellowcard will be touring. Not my favorite artist but very consistent and enjoyable pop-punk imo

Wish they played a bit closer. Would love to see them with Anberlin too.

And thank you Shamus for posting that. I remember hearing about that issue years ago. I never looked into it much tho.

Saw there reunion show at Riot Fest last summer where they played this in full and it was fun and they sounded great, but since I didn't start listening to Yellowcard until ~Southern Air, the show didn't hold the nostalgia I would imagine itll have for many people
