| |
Dope band, dope track
| |
don't cry baby girl you're so sexy ahaa
| |
Yea this could fit in Rogue and be great
| |
Band slaps.
| |
Good song
| |
Woahhhh
| |
Song was already amazing then they locked in at the 1:31 mark and shit hit another level of greatness
| |
Would replace half the songs on RCD with this. They get better with every release.
| |
oh HELL yes
| |
eh hitting this again hasnt done it any favors for me. its fine but off the top of my head i like probably every other song of theirs more. glad y'all are digging it tho
| |
Where's Jay
| |
Damn this is sick, the chorus is great
| |
bubs always having the opposite opinion of me. Smh.
| |
lol its not just me who noticed
is all good tho beauty is in the ear of the bee holder
| |
i am ready for this band to convert me into a fan… will check on my lunch break
| |
christ these guys keep raising the bar
so awesome to have a band able to breathe life into the corpse of a genre
| |
Guess who else is crying 😭
I mean, what else can I say? Band is just too rad and this song is no different. Can't wait for more!
| |
yessss even the music video looks 00s as fuck
| |
It didn't floor me, but was on par with the weaker songs from Rouge, so still good.
| |
Definitely not groundbreaking but I think it's better than every song off RCD that's not Fleahouse, Push Rope, Courtney, and Lye Solution. Maybe Disinter too.
| |
Alright, still don’t love the production choices this band makes but this song is good.
| |
yknow light despite our previous interaction here we do generally have same rcd favorites lol lfg
| |
That's what's up. Now we just need a middle ground on Taking Back Sunday, Enter Shikari, Finch, etc.
| |
my takes on those bands are pretty fixed but hey theres plenty of time to realize that nothing is true / say hello to sunshine / tidal wave are their respective peaks!
uhhhhh for tbs maybe louder now could be a middle ground do you like that album bc i fuckin love that album lol
| |
I don't mind saying SHTS is Finch's peak even though I like WIITB more, but it's the hate WIITB gets that I take umbrage with around here.
Flash Flood is peak Shikari for me but The Spark and whatever their last album are called are their misses for me. Nothing is True is a great album.
I'll never get on the Tidal Wave train though. I dig Louder Now a lot and New Again has some great songs along with Winter Passing as a b-side. WYWTB is peak TBS in my eyes but I've got 4 albums out of them I can listen to at any time.
| |
yeah the last shikari is a little boneless. ive made a bit of peace with it but its far and away their least essential. i wish i could get more into flash flood tho its mid stretch is GOATED but it is too wubby that it feels dated to me. thermometers through warm smiles though i am WITH you
wiitb is okay its just not what i want from them lol. think its a hard album for me to warm up to because the history of the band generally shafts shts and its up to the fans to have to emphasize that it is actually really good. burn j feels a lil low on personality to me in comparison but its def solid
i know re: tbs i am just crazy tho lmao but i will wave my flag high to make up for that nobody else will
| |
the last shikari felt undercooked yeh
| |
damn good track!
| |
Yassss qweenn!!!
| |
WIITB and TOCS were my first two post-hardcore albums that I was aware of (I listened to The Used, Thursday, Coheed, and Brand New before that but they weren't screaming in the same way) so WIITB is always going to be on a pedestal for me. Literally a life changing album and I have a ton of nostalgia for it.
Thermometers through Warm Smiles is the fuckin shit though. I will say I think Rat Race EP is the best thing Shikari has ever done but I wasn't counting it since we're looking at the full lengths. Everything from the band was top tier from 2007 through 2015 so that's a hell of a run for me. The other songs on Flash Flood did take a bit longer to grow on me but I love them all. Always gonna support the boys though. I've met them all a few times after shows and they're nice as hell and always excited to talk about what they're cooking up.
| |
In typical Jay fashion I have already listened to this about 30 times and it just sounds better and better with every listen.
Fuck I love this band. Their music vids have always been amazing too. Really hope they get some more mainstream recognition with the upcoming TOCS tour. Should be sick.
| |
I'll be seeing them in Sacramento on that tour. Stoked.
Also stoked to not have to listen to crappy new UO songs
| |
Damn, Sac show sold out already. Spades is a pretty small venue I guess.
| |
Damn that did sell out quick
| |
Great track
| |
Yeah this fucking rules. Their earlier output was solid but this is hella good.
| |
Hell yeah Chuck m/
Band is the future of emocore. Simple as.
| |
Even if it’s just a one off and not a single for a forthcoming record… im satisfied. This with satiate me for good minute
| |
this is so good
keeping 2000s emo alive m/
| |
I fux wit dis
| |
Glad this is hitting for everyone…this is honestly a triumph for future emo hardcore. It’s so exciting.
| |
agreed hard moon
| |
can't over how good the chorus is
| |
cry evrytiem
| |
TOCS was the first post-hardcore album I ever listened to. I got into screaming within music because of that album. I dig this new single.
