What a weird lineup. A bunch of post-hardcore-ish stuff, a couple noisy industrial jawns, and then Cult of Luna lmao
| |
it was cool seeing refused live back in 2012 but they should have stayed fucking dead
| |
@Thycross
Don’t see how that’s weird; both bands are from the Umea hardcore scene, and even when CoL took a different path, they still maintained ‘core’ elements. That track is a perfect fit for them, too. It’s like saying ISIS covering The Melvins was weird.

looks like a dope tribute album. especially curious to hear 2, 5 and 10
| |
Wait a second, this might rule.
| |
Brutus and igorr on the same album? sign me tf up
| |
zulu represent. what a cool line-up
| |
what a thyme to be alive
| |
IGORRR is on the setlist. I can't even begin to predict what that's going to sound like, and that excites me.
| |
Also the Cult of Luna reinterpretation was sick.
| |
thought this said shape of post-malone to come and thought he was gonna gobble up punk rock next
| |
clicked for the title, wasn't disappointed
"both bands are from the Umea hardcore scene, and even when CoL took a different path..." (2)
and yeah this makes total sense really, agreed
| |
cant wait to see em in march will be a blessed evening to be sure
| |
I'm actually not sure if I ever heard the original tSoPtC to the end to hear Tannhauser / Derive in full. That said, I know the first 7 tracks pretty well. Anyways, Cult of Luna are at their top game here. Can't wait to hear the other pieces (IGORRR hell yeah).
| |
Most tribute albums suck but this might be cool. And yeah, they should've stayed a touring act at most or cooked on a new album for a few years after reuniting because Freedom and War Music were underwhelming at best
| |
wow that lineup of bands is sick
| |
Awesome take on a classic track.
| |
yeah thie cover ruled so hard
| |
Ojizzerated. Stacked line-up here this should be cool.
| |
Wait. Quicksand is still around?
| |
Last track is the best track.
| |
Last track is the best track.

@kkarron
Ya! They actually released a new album a few years back (thought 2023, but it was 2021) and it's great!
| |
Gotta respect how these guys built a decade-spanning career based on one good record.
