Trebor Alesana plays instruments, fucking GYBE fucking goes in the kitchen, and drops pans on the floor, open doors and slam them, water the fucking flowers and watch a train go by, then calls it music., , , ,

  • deathschool I started at a community college AND got my associate?s degree back when all of this started. There aren?t many people in my department that got their 2-year degree before their bachelor?s and starting their master?s. My goal is to eventually get a community college teaching gig. I got a lot out of my community college experience.

  • deathschool For the last 3 years, it has been half working as a grad student and half working as an instructor. So, I teach two classes a semester to undergrads and take two graduate classes alongside it. I typically either teach 101 or 102, so first years composition most of the time. I did get to design and teach two section of a 200 level sci-fi lit class for one semester. I am hoping to hear back from KU soon about teaching full time, so 4 classes a semester. And hey, that?s awesome about the Associates

  • deathschool I hope it will turn out to be a lasting solution. If they?ve had their eye on it for a while, maybe it was the root of the problem, but I really don?t know much about cancer treatment. You?re a bad ass for making it through two rounds. I do like KU. Like any job, it has its fair share of bull s*** to deal with. A lot of my disdain for certain red tape in academia has definitely increased exponentially over the last year especially. But there?s not anything that I would rather do as of right now.

  • deathschool Damn, man. That?s some intense s*** to go through. I am glad to hear that you?re on a bit of an upswing now. Do they seem optimistic about the treatment lasting? Life is pretty good over here. Finding work afterward is an ongoing and never ending stream of applications, but I am graduating from my master?s program in a few days!
