This album, like Now Only and MI2020, is more readily enjoyed when listened to as poetry with musical backing. Luckily for me, these albums tend to be my favorite works from Phil. I find his Zen-influenced poems quite beautiful, and the often experimental noisy folk-scapes he accompanies them with quite provocative and appropriate, in spite of and at times empowered by his lo-fi production.
