This is it. This album will determine the Offspring's future. This is their first mainstream album, and had a lot to live up to after the HUGE success of "Smash".

1. Disclaimer
The first track on this album, we expect to be something along the lines of "Time To Relax" on the previous album. But, we get a type of "song". It's a great introduction to an album.

2. The Meaning Of Life
One of the singles from the album, a fast song, a great song, a catchy song. the bassline to this is one of my favourites on the album. i strongly recommend this song.

3. Mota
a song about drugs. just what we wanted to hear. whenever we have a song about drugs, it immediately means it's going to be funny. and this song is funny. a foot-tapping drum beat to begin the song.

4. Me And My Old Lady
a song on this album that has mixed reviews. personally, i think it's rather cool. it's not the greatest of songs, but it is catchy, so after a listen to this song, you'll be humming it for the rest of the day.

5. Cool To Hate
everyone tries to write a song along these lines, and the offspring have been one of the few successful bands into doing so. "I hate the.." begins nearly every line, making it a very well structured song. it's definately a favourite from the album, and everyone who listens to this will love it.

6. Leave It Behind
all bands, whenever they record an album, have a song that seems to be forgotten about and ignored. On "Ixnay On The Hombre", this song is probably it. it is a great song, if a little bit short.

7. Gone Away
another single from the album, and yet another wonderful song. this song is quite emotional, and begins with a rather cool drumbeat. the guitars throughout this song are a pleasure to listen to. I, again, strongly recommend this song.

8. I Choose
As I said, the guitar throughout this song is an absolute pleasure to listen to. the drums are great, and the bassline rocks. This song is yet another single, and another success. It has a cool video so check it out!

9. Intermission
I don't know what to say about this track, but if you see The Offspring live, you'd better expect to hear this.

10. All I Want
Another single, another video, and featured on the "Crazy Taxi" video-game soundtrack, this is most likely the catchiest and most well known song on the album. it begins with a quick line from Dexter, and we're off to a fast song. short, but great!

11. Way Down The Line
This, again, is from the"Crazy Taxi" soundtrack. This song has a wondeful guitar riff, and definately catchy.

12. Don't Pick It Up
A song from the album that receives mixed reviews. Many people i know do not like this song, but i think it's wonderful! It contains a nice little "surfing" style riff for a little part of the song. i enjoy listening to this song, but do you?

13. Amazed
an AMAZING song many people really like. an opening drumbeat leads to one of the best songs on the album. i recommend you listen to this if you buy/own/download the album.

14. Change The World
Yet another song from the "Crazy Taxi" soundtrack. Once again, a drumbeat opens the song, and this is definately a favourite of mine. I strongly recommend this song, because i am SURE you'll like it.

Recommended Songs:
The Meaning Of Life
Cool To Hate
Amazed
Change The World
All I Want
I Choose
Gone Away

This album definately lives up to the hype and success of "Smash". Without a doubt, this album gets 5/5.

Great review. It is one of the best Offspring albums, with Smash and Ignition ranking highly among their catalogue (for me anyway). Gone Away is one of my favourite songs of all time, and my favourite Offspring song.

This is the only Offspring album I have. Funny that the review should pop up, I listened to it for the first time this afternoon. I've had it for ages too.

This is to me the greates offspring album without a doubt to me. Smash great album too i'd giv smash 4.5/5 though.
Ixnay gets 5/5 deffinately. They never played intermission when i saw them live in England, mainly new stuff. GONE AWAY the greatest song ever! 100000/5 u can relate to it on so many different levels, i dont think there are many people who wudn't b able to relate to it. plus it sounds lush.
Offspring albums in my view;
Ixnay
Americarna
Smash
Ignition
Conspiracy of One
The offspring
Splinter, although last still got sum darn gud songs on it.
Was jus bout to review his album myself when checked out the review list.
