Mindless Self Indulgence's best album, no doubt about that.
The electronic beats make you want to dance even if you can't understand most of the lyrics. But if you listen closely, you'll see just how brilliant the lyrics really are. The album covers lots of topics, from masturbation to killing yourself, and I love every second of every song. Just make sure your parents aren't home for when you blast this CD on full blast, or any volume that puts this in their hearing range for that matter. Most parents, if they're anything like mine, can't see the true beauty of this album and might take it from under your hands if they ever do get a chance to listen, so make sure you make extra copies and hide them, or just store it on your iPod for good like all the kids do these days.
Unlike most bands, what's even better than listening to their CD's is hearing them live. Mindless Self Indulgence are professionals at putting on live shows. They call themselves entertainers rather than musicians, because that is just what they do: entertain. You wont leave one of their shows disappointed, unless you're upset that frontman Jimmy Urine no longer gives away his taco flavored kisses for a dollar. I could go on about their shows, but that's something you should experience for yourself.
Shame on me for getting off topic.
So back to the album, it's fantastic. It will have you singing along in awe that a band has the nerves to sing about such controversial things. There will be some dancing too, because admit it, you can not resist moving to these beats.
