Born in the suburbs of Las Vegas, Nevada, Panic! At the Disco is comprised of Ryan Ross, Spender Smith, Brent Wilson and Brendon Urle. Combining catchy pop lyrics with electronically engineered melodies, P!ATD has made its mark on the musical scene as a band of unique talent. Their debut album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" combines new age electronica with everything from synthesizers to drum machines with a traditional blend of accordions and Vaudevillian piano. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out exploded onto the musical world with an aura of something new. One of Ramen / Decaydance Records best.
"Some bands spend their whole careers just hoping to produce an album as complex, cohesive and creative as A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Not Panic! At The Disco: They managed to get it right on the first try." - P!ATD Biography, purevolume.com
1. Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
A great start to a fantastic album, flowing lyrics fit like a jigsaw with an amazing chorus. A roller coaster ride from start to finish, the line "Let's get these teen hearts beating faster, faster" sticks in your head long after the songs conclusion.

2. London Beckoned Songs About Money By Machines
Another incredible piece of work, tongue-in-cheek lyrics about the bands perception of their origin. The bridge runs like liquid at "just for the record, the weather today was slightly sarcastic with a good chance of A) Indifference and B) Disinterest, at what the critics say". Pure lyrical genius.

3. The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage
Another great song, not the best on the album as things drag on a little at the end, but still much better than most songs on most other albums. P!ATD have done it once again and it's only the third track of the album.
4.5/5
4. But It's Better When We Do
Catchy chorus that sticks in your head for days, verses that fit perfectly and once again a perfect story is told in impeccable fashion. The story of the song is well summed up in "praying for love in a lap dance, and paying in naivety".

5. I Write Sins Not Tragedies
They do it again and again. Another great song, and although a little repetitive in itself, is completely unique from every other song on the album. "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" combines powerful punk choruses with super sly hooks.
4.5/5
6. I Constantly Thank God For Esteban
The flow is still strong at the halfway point, another awesome song with sudden explosions throughout the song. Great vocal range adds onto quick drumming to create a musical masterpiece. Watch out for the "we sure are in for a show tonight" lines that pop up with synthesized vocal effects to add that extra kick.

7. It's Time To Dance
Another dream song with energetic lyrics that never get old. Powerful and melodious at the same time, the "boys will be boys" line creates a nice peak for the rest of the song to feed off of. Very good quality music.

8. Camisado
Possibly the best song on the album, Camisado combines fast upbeat verses to an incredible chorus. Although the verse repeats itself it does nothing to mar the song as it is such a great verse anyway. If music were sex this song would be truly orgasmic. "can't take the kid from the fight take the fight from the kid."

9. Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks
Probably the weakest song on the album, it is still extremely good. The lack of drums compared to other songs has an effect on the tunes musical presence but P!ATD have evidently taken something from nothing and still turned it into a magnificent song.
4/5
10. There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven't Figured It Out Yet
Finishing with a bang, this is perhaps the best written song on the album. Everything is perfect right from beginning to end. The verses are not only cheeky but they also tell a fantastic story. "I'm the new cancer, never looked better- you can't stand it", a chorus to remember.

11. Build God, Then We'll Talk
Last, but not least, the grand finale. If there's one way to finish an album, it's like this. The lyrics once again live up to P!ATDs high standard and the chorus "what a wonderful caricature of intimacy" is just a brilliant line. Things go from good to better as the song finishes on an energetic note that does well to encompass the theme of this amazing album.

There are very few albums that I can listen the whole way through and love every minute of it, for a band to create one of these albums as their debut is near impossible but it seems Panic! At the Disco have done it. Lyrically above the pop-punk scene it is going to be a pleasure watching where they go from here.
Overall: 5/5
