Review Summary: Authority Zero and The Stories Of Survival
Authority zero has made many albums that have a lot of rock fusion punk reggae formats to their song structure. Their best albums they have ever made are both "A Passage In Time" and "Adiamo". There are a lot of reasons why APIT and Adiamo are well made albums but what standouts the most about these two albums is that there's a vibe between the listener and the music. Authority Zero can make their albums sound as if you are at their concert (Which by the way are a excellent band to watch). As much as I like APIT and Adiamo, 12:34 was more of a mediocre album. There were few stand out tracks from 12:34 but the bottom line is that its everything we already heard.
Alas we come to Stories Of Survival. The first thing we notice about Stories of Survival is the well produced songs. The production value for Authority Zero has changed throughout the years and they now recently made a C.D that is good value.
There are some bad things about that album however. Songs like "A Day to Remember", "Crashland", and "No Way Home" are all the bad things about this album. These songs sound like fillers. A Day To Remember is the worst out of the bunch. This track is very repetitive and doesn't have no melody Jason DeVore would usually do.
But out of those errors, the rest of the album is pretty sweet. "Movement" is by far one of the best reggae tracks Authority Zero has ever made. Other tracks such as "Brick In The Wave", "Get It Right", and "Break The Mold" have excellent punk/rock choruses that make someone wanna sing along. Every member of the group has something to be proud of in this CD especially on the track "The Remedy".
All in all, Authority has once again created an album that many fans and die-hard fans would be proud of. Jason and his buddies are getting extremely good at what they do and this album shows why.
