Review Summary: Oh, look at the martyr. Cars is a 2006 American computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed and co-written by John Lasseter, it is Pixar's final independently-produced motion picture before its purchase by Disney. Set in a world populated entirely by anthropomorphic cars and other vehicles, the film stars the voices of Owen Wilson, Paul Newman (in his final non-documentary feature), Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, Tony Shalhoub, Cheech Marin, Michael Wallis, George Carlin, Paul Dooley, Jenifer Lewis, Guido Quaroni, Michael Keaton, Katherine Helmond and John Ratzenberger. Race car drivers Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Mario Andretti, Michael Schumacher and car enthusiast Jay Leno (as "Jay Limo") voice themselves.

thanks for reading, and thanks to omaha for giving it a preliminary once over before submitting.
i'm not usually so melodramatic in my reviews, but this release affected me in a pretty profound way, and I think the tale it tells deserves a little extravagance.

| | | Snazzy review!
| | | Haven't heard this one yet but I imagine it's on par with Bad Luck and Never Born. Trophy Scars took a long time to click with me but I'm glad I stuck it out.

i've always seen Never Born, Never Dead as the flip side to this, the aforementioned getting out of
the metaphorical "hole" of depression. i'd go as far as to say listening to the pairing is essential
to fully appreciating both releases, definitely look into it.

I agree, DirEnRefused. I often listen to this and Never Born back to back.

band fucking rules
I'd say this is their weakest regarding their new sound (even though they've sounded like this since Bad Luck 2009).
Bad Luck > Never Born, Never Dead >>> Darkness, Oh Hell

| | | Status they posted today, about Goodnight Alchemy vinyls they pressed yesterday:
"tsk, tsk people already flipping vinyls. jesus christ. hasn't even been a day. do you know what our net profit for goodnight alchemy was when it was first released: -$2,346... yes that is negative two grand plus. good work dudes! you will officially be way richer than us off music we made!"
