Right Now

A good song that sadly didn't catch on due to little video(Due to the graphic nature of the video) and radio airplay. While probably not the best choice for a first single it'll still made for a good song with a driving chorus. The only thing that takes away from the song is the weak vocals in the verses.

Break Some Off
Pretty much a filler trick, but it's main purpose looks to be please the Korn fans pre-"Follow the Leader".

Counting On Me
In this track once again you see vocalist, Jonathan Davis trying new things as a vocalist. It comes out as a mixed bag though. The only highlights of the song is the screaming in the chorus.

Here It Comes Again
A little too much of going from one extreme to the other and a little too much screaming. The only thing good is the riff that starts a minute before the song ends. The song gets better(somewhat) towards the end.

Deep Inside
Little too slow at points and pretty much repetitive. It came off as pointless.

Did My Time
From the Tomb Raider soundtrack, a very nice addition to the album. This is what first singles are made of. I would have saved this for just their albums release. Korn play to their strengths here and it shows plus makes for a good song. Fieldy's bass and David make the song.

Everything I've Known
Their third single, it'll please the a Korn fan, but if they're trying to bring in new fans, look again. A good track, not so good single.

Play Me
Musically good, lyrically not so good. Their collaboration with rapper Nas in this song really adds nothing to the song. Of all rappers , Nas? Would have made for a better song without this collaboration. The interlude is also a little too reminiscent of Right Now.

Alive
Another song that will probably only please the hardcore Korn fans.

Let's Do This Now
Augh the bagpipes. I thought I'd be happy when I heard them but in this song they were unnecessary and somewhat out of place. Song seems rushed and comes out as a filler.

I'm Done
Jonathan Davis tries to show versatility and it comes out bad. I enjoyed the song up until he started singing. Jonathan know your boundaries. Lackluster guitar riff for most of the song make for a not so good song.

Ya'll Want A Single
The second single from the CD supports a much better composed song. Something that's pretty different from most of the cd and anything they've done. Jonathan Davis pretty much raps the chorus and makes a not so radio friendly chorus, but makes for a good song.

When Will This End
Sounds too much like previous songs on the cd and makes for a pretty bland song. Nothing really sticks out from it.

One
A nice addition that makes the album worth purchasing. While it can't even touch the original version recorded by Metallica you still can't help, but like it. Korn add their own thing to the verses and it makes for a good cover.

The album had its moments, but the album seemed rushed and it sounded like they were trying to please the hardcore Korn fans. The band members are in their 30's now and you see no growth in their new album. They need to stop worrying about pleasing old Korn fans and make music. If you are a big Korn fan you still be left (somewhat) pleased.

I am a hardcore KoRn fan

anywayz i think the new album is definitely worth an A-

1) they did not go so much mainstream with it u did not see a music video from TALITM, but that has not stopped their endless rise to fame.

2) It is good that they went back to touch up on the old school KoRn albums
I know they could have done better on "Play Me", Nas kind of confuses the song, they needed someone tougher like Xzibit, or DMX to give it more of an aggressive feel to it. The song that stuck out the most to me was "Counting On Me" it is definitely one of their more powerful songs :chug:

Read the rules and some other reviews. Ratings are X/5 (X/10 sometimes), not graded like high school research papers. Spell/grammar-check, too.

Alright enough album, but I've never been a fan and this isn't changing my mind.

So true. This is one of the worst reviews I've ever seen. Try to give some background info and insight on the album as a whole.

Well the album sucks nuts and is about as much fun as putting on shoes.
What I mean by that is that the album had absolutely no emotional impact on me when I heard it. It's THE album that matters the least to anyone in every way. If you can say that.

GO END YOUR CAREER OR DON'T PUT ANYTHING OUT UNTIL YOU'RE ACTUALLY INSPIRED OR SOMETHING, you silly bandmembers of Korn.

the original recording of "alive" was good. it was done before the s/t album. so Jon didn't try any stupid fake screams and fieldy wasnt obnoxiously loud.

but now they killed it.

Korn will never get back to the standard they were at with Follow The Leader, it's time they hung up the 7-strings and let nu-metal self-destruct. The ride's over boys.

you get repped for echoing my sentiments and not holding on to the past like many fans of that particular band, just let it go Korn, just ....let go.

Simce when is Xzibit tough? he has a show on MTV ffs. DMX wouldn't fit with KoRn's style, he comes off as a bit racist, and he doesn't use a persona in his music, he really IS that hardcore. Ice Cube was a good rapper for them to work with before. Nas is one of the few rappers I like, Play Me and Did My Time were two of the better songs on this album as far as I'm concerned.

if you put the cd upside down in the cd player you hear a very cool duet with nora jones that is a very good song with a flute and after a while comes a solo on a triangle that solo is very beautiful.
