well for starters im sorry i dont have a pic of the cd. Another thing is that this is a wonderful cd to buy and below im gonna give you the reasons i think this.

1. Smashed Into Pieces: this is a very intersting song, the vocals are very good, and with this i mean that shane did a very good job of mixing his singing and screaming vocals together. Not the best guitars in the whole album, but with all of its features, id give it a solid 4/5. Also be ready for the new music video for this song, itll be at victoryrecords.com

2. Red Light Pledge: this song starts off real slow, and kinda remains that way the rest the time. Its definately not the best but its listenable. 2.5/5

3. Giving Up: This song starts out kinda like the last one did, but then it goes into the chorus and shocks the hell out of you the way they mixed a soft song up with screaming. i'd give it a high 3 or a very low 4 out of 5.

4. November: Probably one of the best songs on the cd, its starts out with a nice bass sounds and then slowly comes the guitars, wonderful lyrics and vocals in this. 4.5/5

5. Last Days Of Summer: not much to say here, except good song, good lyrics and good vocals. 3.5/5

6. Bleeds No More: This song inparticular starts off very fast, and it kinda makes you wanna stop listening to it cause you can never take a breath really without missing something, until at the end, when a very catchy, slow breakdown comes in, and then the screaming starts again. For all its worth, id give it a 3.5/5.

7. Hear Me Out: Oh man, this is a wonderful song. This song starts out wonderful and then goes into a breakdown thats even better and catchier than the whole song itself, it just makes you wanna get out your guitar and play it. 5/5

8. The Weak And The Wounded: Excellent song, starts off calm and quiet and the goes to a brief scream, the goes quiet again, and does the same as before. Good breakdowns, very melodic, nice riffs, id be ashamed not to give it a 4/5

9. Wish I Could Forget You: Now when you first start listening to this, you think, what the hell am i listenin to, i know cause thats what i said. But as you go farther into the song, it gets better. Its not the best, so ill give it a 3/5

10. When Broken Is Easily Fixed: Well this is arguably one of the top if not #1, songs on the cd. His screaming is excellent in this song. It starts out kinda like the weak and the wounded, but different. VERY NICE breakdown at the end of it, a wonderful choice to end the cd off.

BEST SONGS ON CD:
4. November
7.Hear me out
8. The Weak and the Wounded
10. When broken is easily fixed

NO im not saying none of the other songs a any good, these are just, in my opinion, some of the best.

Bottom line i'd give this cd a 4/5, partly because silversteins one of the few bands who can mix screaming and singing(atreyu, FATA) together in a way to make it sound great.

dude, stop spamming.

The review is metiocre, a little more detail and opinion would be nice, some background information on the band would be good too.

Yes your review sucks because the band isn't screamo or hardcore. They are pop-punk. Popcore if they're lucky.

P.S. They also suck.

ah man...i gotta go with screamo_rocks_101 : silverstein is not only a really great, fresh new flavor of emo/hardcore/punk mix, but they keep it real at their shows: ive been a dedicated fan of theirs since Summer's Steller Gaze (first EP), before they signed on to victoy records, and since then they've been ripping it up...My suggestion: if you want a new sound, wit melodic instrumentation featuring influences that of The Get Up Kids to Grade, Mineral to Cave-In, and even Pedro the Lion to Slayer....or if you just want some backround music to when you feel like breakin some ****, then this band is definitely for you.

yeah sorry, i didnt mean to put them down as screamo, its an honest mistake. But, the are not poppunk, anybody with half a brain can tell you that silverstein is not even close to that, and besides, the vocals arent wimpy and whiny enough to be poppunk. ill get some background info for some of you who havent heard of them before, or who just wanna be assholes and demand stupid stuff like that, either way, thanks for the opinions.

hey uhh hardcore slut(dfelon204409), silverstein does not suck, they kinda fall into the same categorie as your image(thrice), and they dont suck, and stop calling them poppunk cause theyre not even close to that name.

They are popcore then. You have to understand that they have maybe about 1% hardcore in them if they're lucky. Honestly, if you have heard real hardcore punk and real modern hardcore then you'd know what I'm talking about. Please tell if there are more hardcore songs than "Giving Up" and "Smashed to Pieces." I am basing my knowledge of this band off of good familiarity of these songs and a weak familiarity of the album as a whole because I've only heard it all once.

*EDIT* They have this one mini breakdown on "Giving Up" that could be miscontrued as hardcore but really it's just a ripoff of a Grade one. Seriously it's the exact same thing.

ok ok, dfelon24409, i see what your point is, and maybe their not the hardest band out there, but dont you think that popcore is a little harsh categorization of their music, i mean really, your puttin them almost in the same categorie as good charlotte. Another thing is that giving up and smashed into pieces are some of the more softer songs, there are more such as "when broken is easily fixed", "the weak and the wounded", "bleeds no more" and "hear me out"(not really that hard, i juss love the breakdown at the end).

i agree with you on giving ups breakdown. Its not really that good and its way to short, ive heard alot better in my time.

Popcore? I tend to stay away from labeling a band that genre, I'd say emocore.

Anyways, this is a good CD, one of the few emocore bands I actually like. They're from around my area so I've seen them a couple times, decent live show.

Not it's not a harsh categorization; it's a proper one. Good Charlotte is a pop band not a pop punk band. When I call Silverstein pop punk, Silverstein should feel honored to be in a category with The Descendents and ALL, two highly superior bands.
