I heard one BFMV song after a friend recommended them to me and, out of curiosity, I decided to go out and buy the album... and I wasn't disappointed. This album has some great guitar work and the vocals really deliver what’s needed without loosing melody.

The Intro flows into "Her Voice Resides" and feels like the calm before the storm. Then it kicks in with a scream and some good guitar work including a nice solo. The song also sets the mood for the rest of the album.

Then there’s "Four Words to Choke Upon" with its melodic chorus and more heavier verses. The vocals are spot on and the guitar bends and a little extra to the tune. A great sounding solo and the drums fit well to the tune.

"Tears Don't Fall" has quite a strange feel to it to begin with and also slows down the instrumental side quite a bit. Until the solo that is, and everything speeds back up. The solo is quite short but still sounds pretty good. Then it all slows down again for another chorus section and the song finishes with a bit of a random riff that sounds a little out of place in my opinion.

"Suffocating Under The Words Of Sorrow" gets back into the faster tempo side of the album and continues with more great guitar riffs and decent solos. It also keeps a good melodic feel throughout with great vocals. The pounding drums also make this song feel quite heavy compared with some of the other songs on the album.

"Hit the Floor" starts strong with a guitar riff that actually sounds a bit like Metallica. There’s also a nice intro solo that comes before the vocals that set the mood for this song. This song is also one of the most melodic on the ablum.

The acoustic intro for "All These Things I Hate" works well with the vocals and sounds quite calm. Then the chorus kicks in with a bang before slowing back down again for the verse. The distorted guitar works really well in the song and keeps it heavy along with the screamed parts of the vocals.

From the start you can tell that "Room 409" is going to be one of the heaviest tracks on the album with its screamed vocals, but it still keeps the melodic feel on the chorus. Some good drumming keeps this tune going and there’s also a short solo which could of been a bit longer in my opinion.

"The Poison" follows and has a great melodic chorus. There’s also a brilliant solo and constantly good guitar work. The song flows well and is definitely one of the best on the album. Some of the riffs have quite a weird, eerie feel to them but it all fits well in the song.

"10 Years Today" is not one of the best on the album but it is by no means a bad song. The opening riff sets the mood of the song and feels quite dark, but I feel the song is let down by its abrupt ending.

"Cries In Vain" may make you think its going to be a slow song at first, until it all kicks in with its heavy guitar and vocals. The guitar work in this song is excellent but at times the vocals can feel a bit iffy and slightly disapointing. The slow parts add even more to this song and make it quite 'moody'.

"Spit You Out" starts with quite a dark intro riff where you can hear the low end more than in the rest of the album. There a good deal of riffs and screamed vocals and the live parts give it quite an unusual feel (they feel sort of dark).

The final track on this album, "End", doesn't really feel like the rest of the album and feels a bit like a late addition, but is still quite a decent track and alters from slow and melodic to fast and heavy but still feels quite dark throughout.

Overall this album is one of the best I've listened to recently and I am glad that I took a risk and bought it. I would recommend this album to anybody that likes metal. There is plenty of melody mixed into the heavy parts of the album and there is always a good balance. The guitar work is great and the solos may not be the most technically amazing but they sound brilliant. A lot of the songs feel quite quite dark and moody but there is normally a good balance. I hope BFMV goes on to record more material and hopefully it will be as good as this album.
