Say what you want to say about taylor Swift. No I am totally serious. She is a uptight drama queen but hot damn she knows how to make a solid and great record when she really puts the mind to it. I couldnt say that she is one of the best popular country song writers to make a great and fulfulling transition to pop music but she is certainly in the top 10 if I had to pick a favorite.

Anyway on to the current album at hand. It stars off with a bang called Welcome to New York New York. To be honest I didnt like the song very much and find myself to skip it any chance I get when I listen to the album. Any repeat listens made me skip this song as hard as I possibly did! But its not the worst song on the album. That song is called Shake it off. You have maybe heard of it before. Its only a top 40 smash single right now. It has rapping that is really out of place for taylor swift by now. She is more of a parody of herself than anyone else could possibly ever be to her! And it has bad chord progressions with some mediroce lyrics and a terrible music video I might have to add.

The best song on the album is most definitely without a doubt, Bad Blood. Out of all of the many songs called Bad Blood that I can think of, this is probably the second best one only second to the song Bad Blood by the band Bastile.

Overall its not a very good album because it is total departure from her early stylings of country and alternative rock and even the dancey stuff in her last album called Red. Its just kind of a mess all around.
