Review Summary: AS a female MC, Baton Rouge native Lady Cam has proven that she can handle hold own in
today's hip hop industry. Faced with those common uncertainties, "Get It Got It" is an album
that has a story in itself in which Lady Cam tells fluently.
AS a female MC, Baton Rouge native Lady Cam has proven that she can handle hold own in
today's hip hop industry. Faced with those common uncertainties, "Get It Got It" is an album
that has a story in itself in which Lady Cam tells fluently.
The lead song "Get It Started", is a bit left field, but strangely fitting for the female
MC's style. Lady Cam's character somewhat puts you in the mind of Busta Rhymes, but in a
female version. Stand out tracks include "Get It Got It", "Holla", "Pocket Book" and
"Crush". Listening to this album sort of took me back to that late 80's, 90's style of hip
hop music. Especially when you listen to "Holla", where Lady Cam explains how she feels and
commonly deal with the every day struggles in life.
Lady Cam is sure to become a household name with time, but until then, we'll have to wait
for her next project to see how she matures into a more seasoned artist.
