Review Summary: It’s hard to be blown away by it but it’s got the potential to strike a chord with fans of the deathcore genre.

If you are looking for vocals delivered in a melodic fashion, and a record where the overwhelming vibe is positive, you might as well stop reading now.

The Answer to Infection from Boy Eats Girl is flying the flag for deathcore and has no intention of going easy on you and your ears. The opening track is the lull before the storm and after that it’s a relentless deluge of brutal vocals and heavy riffs.

There is some respite within the songs in the form of samples, which fit the concept of the debut EP.
Boy Eats Girl, the one man band of Rick ‘Cleveland’ Pinto, explains that his first release is a concept album ‘’which revolves around someone going through a psychotic breakdown’’.

It’s an album that barely shifts gears and it seems that Boy Eats Girl set out to create songs that grab the listener by the scruff of the neck, with their raw and visceral vocals.

It’s hard to be blown away by it but it’s got the potential to strike a chord with fans of the deathcore genre.

Eh... its a good EP but this review isn't that detailed and doesn't really explain what works and what doesn't, and why said things work/don't work.
