Review Summary: The rating is no joke.
This is a dungeon synth project that sounds like dinotastic synths. The synths enduce nostalgic N64 memories, because the music belongs in a bygone era where shooting dinosaurs could be achieved. Specifically, the pixelated dinosaurs from Turok. Wave after wave of transporting sounds tickle the ears, with mysterious, majestic tones. These synths have a full reach, and a full body, and the sound of dinosaurs are literally laced into the ambience.
The retro aesthetic of these gooey synths brings to mind old action movies, 90s computer games, and everything to do with old synthesizers. They call this genre dino synth, and why not? These synths effectively capture the beauty, and power of dinosaurs.
It is the type of music that you’ll have to hear to believe its power. A simple keyboard project, but also tantalizingly interesting. The percussion is, perhaps, where laziness shows through, but on the other hand is as relaxing as the sound of water drops landing in water. “Simple” and “elegant” are the two describing words acting like forces of nature in this exotic release.
Between beautiful and creepy, these tracks will take you on a journey. A treacherous one, where dinosaurs roam. These tracks will literally send dinosaurs into your living room, I kid you not. It sent a T-Rex to raid my fridge, and my bank account has not been the same since. I rate this album a casual 17/5 for this life changing experience.
