Release Date: 1980 | Tracklist

This was the first solo album for Ozzy after he was kicked out of Black Sabbath. I personally think its one of there best. In my opinion every metalhead should have this cd.

LINEUP-
Vocals-Ozzy Osbourne
Guitar-Rhandy Rhoads(R.I.P.)
Bass-Bob Daisley
Drums-Lee Kerslakey

1. I Dont Know
This is a great opening track for the album. Its lyrics deal with religion and faith. This is the song that actually got me into them. Its got a catchy chorus too. 4.5/5

2. Crazy Train
This is there trademark song. It is constantly played on the radio and I never get sick of it. Its got a great opening riff and every part of the song is catchy. Plus, Its got great lyrics and I love that solo. 5/5

3. Goodbye to Romance
This song is more calm than most the first two but its still great. I think its about feeling left out. Most people I know dont like it but I think its a great song just not in the same way as the last two. 4/5

4. Dee
Its just an instrumental by Rhandy Rhoads. Very calm and slow. I usually accidently fall asleep when I'm listening to it.

5. Suicide Solution
A good song but I dont usually listen to all of it. I like its lyrics and dont get mre wrong, Its a great song I just dont like it that much. 3.5/5

6. Mr. Crowley
Ahhh what can I say. It is easily my favorite song on the album. Its so nicely done with the creepy synthesiser, keyboard or whatever that thing in the beginning is. It sets a good mood. Although I'm not totally sure what Ozzy is talking about in this one, I still like the lyrics. This song also contains my favorite guitar solo which I can't stop listening to(and I'm a drummer). I love how the song fades out at the closing guitar solo 5/5

7. No Bone Movies
Call me stupid, but is this song about watching porn and playing with yourself. Anyhoo, I like the riff in this song and the chorus but I don't have much else to say about it. 4/5

8. Revelation(Mother Earth)
Another one of the albums greatest. A very calm song but gets louder towards the end. I'm not really sure what this songs about but it sounds like its about the world ending because of war. A great song. 5/5

9. Steal Away(The Night)
A great closing song. A very upbeat song and has nice lyrics that remind me of a better place. I love the chorus and Rhandys guitar part. Thats all folks.

All in all I think it deserves a 5/5 A great way to get into Ozzy Osbourne.

This is my first review so please tell me how I did.

Not bad for a first review.

Oh, 'I Don't Know' isn't about religon, it's about how some people think Ozzy has all the answers to life when really he's just an average guy.

Still, this is an amazing album.

I think I Don't Know could be taken either way - as a song about religion, and people's apparent faith in God, or as a song about their seemingly blind faith in what Ozzy has to say on anything, just because they love his music. Maybe he wrote it with that intention, or maybe, as often happens, people manage to read far too much into it.

Anyway, decent review, especially for a first one. I don't know whether the album's worth a 5, but it's still a great album; at least 3 stone cold classic tracks, and a bunch of solid songs besides.

Great Review. This is my favourite Ozzy album. My favourites are, Mr. Crowly, Goodbye to Romance (I think it deserves a 5/5) and Crazy Train (Despite hearing it all the time I still love it :thumb: )

It's to bad Rhandy Rhoads couldn't have been around to do more albums, he is by far Ozzy's best guitarist.

and btw were are all the Ozzy Reviews?

Ok i think ur right about a lot of stuff, but heres what i think about those songs u wern't sure about

mr. crowly - isn't it obvious what this is about? Alistair Crowly, the british satanist guy.

Revilation - ok great song ur right but I read somewhere that this is about the enviroment and stuff. ppl say that's unlikely but ozzy's done it a few times like in dreamer. maybe it's a bit about war but i think more about enviroment.

and dee is awesome, dedicated 2 randy's mom. I think that was an important step for him because it highligheted his classical talent, something he wanted to get better with before he died. oh and goodbye 2 romance is about ozzy leaving sabbath.

but really, awesome review man.

My CD's booklet claims its the latter.

Ah, fair enough. It could be taken to mean the other though, if you wanted to.

Rhoads does an amazing job on this album. He really show's his talents morew than anyone on this one with his insane solo's, nice fill's and rhytmytic sections.

Zakk Wylde did not hook up with Ozzy til 1987. "No More Tears" and "Mama I'm Coming Home" are songs everyone has heard that feature Zakk on guitar.
