HISTORY
This man was loved by thousands and was hated by equally as many, he came from Sweden and he was called Eddie Meduza and his real name was [i]Errol Leonard Norstedt. He was described as a very friendly and helpful man, but his music was not as friendly as himself. He often wrote songs that really made critics, politics and elderly people and other different people furious but he also won the hearts of the Swedish people, especially a group that is called ‘’raggare’’ as it is called in Sweden. This kind of people have a huge interest in American cars like Cadillac, Impala, Plymouth and so on, they also like to dress them selves in leather jackets, drink beer and have back slick. But Eddie’s struck other types of people as well, almost every kinds of people has heard or listened to Eddie Meduza. Enough of that back to Eddie, he started to record his own songs when he was 14-15 years old when he bought his first guitar, he later started to play with a band called The Roaring Cadillac’s, he also made full-length albums all alone when he was responsible for all the instruments and such.

Eddie Meduza had though lots of troubles in his life, he had a big love for alcohol which would eventually end his life in 2002 which was a tragic blow to the fans, he had though stopped drinking before he passed away but the damage had already been done. It happened quite often that he was drunk during the live shows. But he will always be remembered, his music had a quite big variety, he played rock ‘n’ roll, blues, rock and entertaining music, his music is some of the best if you want some good car-cruising music. He also sang both in Swedish and English, which made his material very much of an all round material and with his lyrics it became even better. Eddie also got his artist name from a jellyfish when he was watching a nature program on TV.

ALBUM INFORMATION / LYRIC MESSAGES
This album is called Harley Davidson, perhaps one of his calmest and more peaceful albums. This album has both English and Swedish songs and then I mean both English and Swedish languages, this album has both funny songs, catchy songs and peaceful songs. The overall album material is a blend of different music styles, I don’t know you call it but there is some rock ‘n’ roll songs, boogy woogy songs (I think it is called) and some ballads.

He will definitely be remembered for his lyrics and dirty language, he sang about hatred against politics, masturbating and the effects of that, booze was very common, drunk driving and sleeping with women was also some themes he had. He sang about sick stuff like hitting people with stones and shovels, poking his nose, run around naked, people with hobbies were retarded and pornography, but the people loved it anyway because they saw the fun parts of his music, while others thought otherwise. But Eddie had a gentle side as well, he did also sing about love, how much people should care about each other, friends, his love for American cars, party and stuff like that. He will though be remembered by the Swedish people no matter if it was the lyrics or the actual music, he was one of Sweden’s funniest and greatest musician, he would always fight back no matter the consequences and that is what I liked about this man.

THE OVERALL MUSIC
This album had a large amount of people who helped Eddie with his music, there are a total of twelve people including Eddie. You have Eddie and two others on the vocals (though you can just hear Eddie which is good), you have three guitarists, three bassists, on drummer and two keyboards. You might think that this would be a mess with all these persons but the truth is, the songs don’t not display all of the member’s performances. The songs have different members each and one of them, but you can still hear the different instruments. The overall sound is very good, you can hear all the notes and tunes very well, nothing is too loud or to low and there is no annoying back ground noises or stuff like that, this is just clean and clear music. I will give this enormous crew a big credit, because this music is both catchy, enjoying and relaxing, a very good all-round album. The vocals are though also very good, the man can actually sing very well, you can definitely hear that this man is over 30 and near 40 at least, I have though no idea of how old he was when this album was made. He can sing great in both English and Swedish and his vocals are great, that’s my point.

THE SONGS
I mentioned before that this album had both Swedish and English songs; I thought that I would help you to translate the Swedish songs and their lyrics so here we go. The album has four songs with Swedish language, these songs are called Bara Lite Solsken, Bara Man E’ Fantastisk, Johnny Rock and Evert. These four songs is about love and care, stand up for your self, party and good old friendship (this is the same order as the songs). The ten other songs is in English, and they also have the similar types of lyric themes, Rollin’ Down is about his Cadillac, Party Party is about party basically and the rest is about old love and ‘’good’’ themes.

MY CONCLUSION
I personally love this man and his work but this album was not one of his greatest. I prefer his more obscure and funnier material than his calmer and more understanding material but there was some gold found in this album though. Here you have classics like Evert, you got catchy and fast songs like Party Party and then you have slower but yet catchy songs like Rollin’ Down. I have no idea to what people I would recommend this artist or album too but I think that you should get any songs or albums from this man because there will never be a next Eddie Meduza. If you like songs with funny themes and catchy rock songs you should check this man out. This man was really one of a kind person, he was very unique and his music was always being remembered within the Swedish people’s heats. Thank for taking time to read this and I hope this was an interesting review.
