| CottonSalad friend of mine did this interview you might dig:https://youtu.be/ybo0nLL-FGQ
| rellik009 "Feels like the start of something instead of something concrete" true actually, but hey it sounds cool haha

| CottonSalad stoked to hear your journey through Krallice!
| DDDeftoneDDD "Wish they leaned into the psychedelic aspects more" me too! Its yet to come I say. Glad you dug it m/ and yap bro. DeathDoom is where its at.
| brainmelter completely cucked the rhythm guitarist in the last song He only got turned on in the last 30 seconds. Obviously an accident but still. Was a cool way to start my birthday tbh I got the Hidden History long sleeve as I already had the Starspawn one
| brainmelter It was really nice, I had no idea Succumbs vocalist was a girl.. she was really cool, giving the crowd crazy eyes and all that while performing. She gave me similar deranged vibes to Abnormalities vocalist. BI was awesome of course, I?ve seen them once before right before covid hit with Immolation and they played almost the same set list. They started the show with the entirety of Hidden History and then chaoplasm and Starspawn t/t. They have an amazing stage sound/mixing but the sound guy
| brainmelter hell yea ill check it out! ive been mia since I got the email of user Funeralopilis? passing.. still need to finish the blurbs on my list, when I tried to load up the site the other day it just felt so insignificant I could not bother
| DDDeftoneDDD also bro...that offscourings rate is making me aaaaahrd
| CottonSalad Thank you! :] definitely seems like some diamonds in the rough that I missed
| CaptainDooRight Nice! And exercise is super good too! I?m guru of nutrition and exercise so if you need help lemme know
| CaptainDooRight For sure bro! I?m in sunny California and I still take a vitamin d supp everyday because I don?t always go in the sun everyday. Vitamin d3 actually. What are you supplementing with??
| CaptainDooRight Stay positive bro the depression will pass. You can always talk to me for positivity!!
| DDDeftoneDDD Tks a lot bro! So much s*** I need to listen before completing the list. So glad you showed me this bro, would totally skip it.
| DDDeftoneDDD I get more thown to The Body and Altar of Plagues I guess...but whatever that shot hits like pure suffering. How bout da drumms!
| TheSonomaDude I really appreciate the feedback! Thanks so much for checkin it out. Everyone agrees that the vox are too low; that was originally my intention but I?m starting to agree. Also our lead guitarist ****in hates that flower gurl solo more than anyone so we?ll fix that too. This was all done on a $0 budget so I?m excited to see what we can do with some money. Thanks again!
| TheSonomaDude Hey my metal band released a EP and I'd like to know what you think of it. we are still mastering and tweaking up final tracks before putting it on all platforms and we are looking for feedback. hope you are doing well https://whiterecluse1.bandcamp.com/album/the-future-is-here
| DDDeftoneDDD https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=197988
| Anthracks nice. i was near the merch table. i try not to go in front because i'm tall. sometimes i am courteous
| Anthracks gog was good - probably a band i wouldn't enjoy as much on record though. pyrrhon was awesome. imperial triumphant were awesome, but the acoustics in the room didn't do them too many favors. where were you in the room?
| Anthracks Damn I just saw your shout box post now. Hopefully we unknowingly crossed paths haha. It was a good time
| Avagantamos that sonds dope! i'll check it out for sure. am I correct in expecting something like a more intense Ire Works?
| Avagantamos yeah I heard the first couple albums, I would have creamed my pants over them if I heard em in high school. how's the new album?
| DDDeftoneDDD the track Scultping the Womb of Misery is ****ing me good!
| DDDeftoneDDD yes, mechanical yet jazzy and tribal right? super glad you liked it. I was afraid you find it too accessible (whatever that means in this kind of DM lol)
| DDDeftoneDDD btw friend. HAve you checked Moral Collapse? Hug
| Wildcardbitchesss You?re in for a ride man. The older I get the more I like it. I think a lot of younger people (myself included) kind of underrate it because of its age but good god The Sopranos is incredible.
| InbredJed Shoot me an email jedediah73@gmail.com and I'll give you my phone number. We can start with a conversation, I'd be thrilled to speak to someone about this!
| InbredJed "It would also be cool to examine how metal presents masculinity without it veering into condescension or defensiveness".Noticed this on my GSTK review comments. Would you be interested in making a podcast on the topic?
| DDDeftoneDDD Yess! I m more into both their recent lp s. Its insane they came back so sophisticated. Love em
| parksungjoon ah yea need to revisit that band in general, doomscapes was rather demilich feeling iirc?
| Koris Just finished the Aja review... about to get to your favorite Steely Dan album :D
| parksungjoon taht is certainly fair! i only checked some of the songs due to the review and was surprised none of the regulars here noticed it
| parksungjoon might be into this idk https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/83589/Nova-Twins-Who-Are-The-Girls
| parksungjoon https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/83523/Morgoth-Feel-Sorry-for-the-Fanatic/
| DDDeftoneDDD yeah, just read on Note's rev that Seputus is fom Phyrron but also Weeping Sores. eheh I really dug that one too.
| DDDeftoneDDD Dare I say that logistic is really fun? I caught the little jonathan davis sections lol
| DDDeftoneDDD do it. we need some place to say it rules XD and I'll read it fs m/
| DDDeftoneDDD The warforged album is a bit pretentious. Is meant to be somekind of stream of consciousness, the main dude that wrote it, did it as he was waking up. I lived (and still do) the thing pretty hard lol. It has also several guests, including Will Smith as well. Beneath the Forest Floor is such a cool track. But I get it can feel disjointed.
| DDDeftoneDDD ehehe dang not big on Warforged he? check the full album video if still care for a 2nd chance. I'll prob have that Succumb 4.5d by tomorrow XD ooof TKS for the recs
| DDDeftoneDDD scheduled those albums for today. Was going to rec my aoty so far, but you've already 4.5d Krallice! I think I'll 5 it before the year ends
| twlight Hey, you killed it on that Gaucho review. Excellent review.
| DDDeftoneDDD Hi will give a shot at those in the next few days. Also super cool you remember I have a kid and all that ehe. Tks for the recs.
| Shadowmire sounds fun! i *really* want to see that imperial triumphant and pyrrhon show. i will add you on discord if you give it to me!
| Shadowmire what concerts?? i'm okay; contending with mental health issues, but i'm moving to baltimore in the next month or so and planning to really live my life for the first time. maybe i'll see some shows too.
| DDDeftoneDDD Other DM with gaze vibe you should def give a big shot is Afterbirth from last year, with Artifical Brain's Will Smith on the vocals. And sorry to take so long to check these Seputus dudes. It's been busy but finally recatching listening pace. Tautology, Deteragonist and T/track made my day m/
| DDDeftoneDDD It's a crazy journey. I adore it. And yeah, there's decent users loving it, and no less decent ones hating it ahah. I feel it can be your thing, just judge for yourself. They also have a full album videoclip on YT.
| DDDeftoneDDD dude. Sick stuff Seputus. You tried Warforged I: Voice?
| Shadowmire sure am. the reaction that other person got is the reason i'm not usually too loud about it. how are you doin'?
| cordwainerbird it's called NetPharmacuticals! the website for it is going up today. just finishing up the flyer and im going to be spreading it around. ill post link here when done. gonzo work is challenging
| cordwainerbird happy pride! im going to be running a large scale ARG this month to illustrate how corporations treat pride month
| Koris Don't worry about it, you'll probably have different thoughts than mine anyway since Gaucho's your favorite by the band. I'm likely gonna put it in the 3.5-4 range, so it'll be fun to compare and contrast our opinions :]
| cordwainerbird hey i hope stuff is going well with you! i hope you've been able to find some more direction since we last talked. im always up for a chat. when you feel stuck just know that it'll pass
| brainmelter idk where to even start but I just made this list not too long ago. this a good starting place with a lot of essentials: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1025659
| DrGonzo1937 No apology necessary! Thanks for participating
| normaloctagon love it, here are a few: brandy "brandy" kali uchis "isolation" kim petras "clarity." i'd be remiss if i didn't mention georgie sweet "misunderstood," bedex wrote a great review for that one that ultimately got me to buy the vinyl
| normaloctagon haha oh no your comment cut off! pesky internet gods. i see that love deluxe 5, glad sade resonated with you she's the best
| normaloctagon wonderful aaliyah 4.5 rating u have there. happy sunday
| Kompys2000 That's a really interesting question! There are probably like a million plausible answers there... For a more negative/toxic example I'd go with Weezer or maybe even Tame Impala, who I think embodies a lot of attitudes towards maleness in indie music circles. For a more positive/aspirational example, I'll say IDLES (especially on 'Joy as an Act of Resistance') or the Drive-By Truckers.
| Koris haha, glad I could help! I completely forgot I did that review, but Jagged Little Pill and SFIJ are both amazing albums for sure
| Kompys2000 Oh dope! Hope you enjoyed it, it's an all-time favorite for me
| cordwainerbird pretty cathartic. still weeks behind in school but my future has never looked clearer. just needing feasible ways to channel my energy into real action for the present. being disabled and traumatized sucks
| porcupinetheater Hey thank you so much! Appreciate the wishing wells and also appreciate you! cheers love
| KevinKC I found your comeback at my mild sarcasm in the Gojira thread disgustingly condescending and mildly vomit inducing in its choice of words. Anyway.
| MillionDead That Blade comp was kinda lit ngl. 6th grade me would've probably thought it was one of the coolest things ever lmao
| Mythodea Yeah, sounds like a bummer. It's quite often that over-planning leads to disappointment. Replace your guy, tho, mushrooms should work anytime.
| Mythodea Well, for starters I just learnt the phrase ''sth goes south'', so I have this morning knowledge which is nice (here it's 8:30 in the morning). Other than that, I feel studying piling up as my master's is progressing, but that's both stressful and amazing at the same time. What did you plan on dressing as fo Halloween?
| Mythodea oh hey, glad to hear back from you! Yeah, I was thinking that the song was a welcoming exception to this macho image they Scorpions had in the '80! I'm glad you like it too. How's life going?
| Avagantamos sure I'd be down to chat a bit. do you have discord?
