  • Kaiwaz do you ever use discord?
    July 7 04:11 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity However I will say that nowadays in general I'm having much more enjoyment with DVD/Blu Rays than studio. The natural energy it gives really appeals to me and nuances that they add live only make it even more interesting.
    September 29 08:38 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity For me it's a case by case basis, not whether studio or live is better. Sukekiyo are in the category of much better live than studio in any song they do. The production is so much better in my eyes (that snare drum yum), the visuals compliment them perfectly, songs like Uyuu no Sora take on a completely new life...it creates a whole different context to the albums. Listening to Immortalis and Vitium is lifeless in comparison.
    September 29 08:33 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity I have no idea how you think Persuasio is on the same level as their studio efforts but glad you enjoyed it :P
    September 28 05:35 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity As a general conscious people think Tour Rasa is Kyo's best vocal performance overall with Dir.
    September 28 02:04 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Yeah, he still nails performances but I'm gonna miss that.
    September 28 02:01 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity And yeah Kyo sounds lovely on Persuasio, sounds very comfortable. His higher register singing voice and 'Kyopera' is especially strong there.
    September 28 01:53 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Out of all the lives since 2008 Arche Budokan's vocal performance was his second worst overall in my eyes (worst is Tour 09, where he lost his voice mid way through tour and that was there they did the DVD or it). As you said he was great in it but his lower end is really starting is dissipate and whistle screams are a no go.
    September 28 01:47 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity There's no pro shot recordings of the tour performances but if you have watched the progression in Kyo's voice you'll know him performing DSS songs in 2016 is a worrying scenario.
    September 28 01:34 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity He needs to calm the **** down tbh, he's already done a bunch of damage to his vocals and he's always either doing Dir shows or Sukekiyo. The thought of him performing on the DSS tour going on atm kinda makes me sad.
    September 28 01:06 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I was asleep that's fine :P. I haven't jammed that version so I should, unusual collab to say the least. Anima's verses would be really barren if you didn't notice that haha, and I think 12:20 rules as well (that blast beat/scream ending is so good). They're releasing a live at the end of the year so we can hear all of Anima's single live and their song Mimi Zozo which almost never gets performed.
    September 28 06:41 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Focus is stunning, and relaxing as well. I need to jam Mama more, song hasn't properly hit me yet.
    September 27 10:24 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Definitely, the way it brings that tension then dissipates it like a faint breeze is beautiful.
    September 27 10:21 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Your fav Sukekiyo songs?
    September 27 10:09 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Damn I find Anima to be their most accessible song to date. Aftermath is my 2nd fav song by them, stunning ballad to me.
    September 27 10:06 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Been out since April, my fav Sukekiyo song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrCmCr0yFw4
    September 27 01:49 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Also your thoughts on their Anima single?
    September 27 01:05 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity There is no CD or CD rip online of Persuasio, only Blu Ray/DVD. CD wouldn't be appropriate anyway, due to the editing of the show and the stage performances.
    September 27 01:04 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity Although bumping to a 5 isn't completely out the question in the future.
    September 27 12:28 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity The songs needs a lot of relistens to fully click which is why I'd have trouble rec'ing it to people but since you 4'ed their studio efforts it should be fine for you, easy 4.5. It's on TheNinjaPanda for download, have fun :]
    September 27 12:02 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I'll go as far as saying Sukekiyo has to be watched, studio to me has barely any worth in comparison it's such a difference. The editing is possibly the best I've ever seen in a show, and no one in the audience says a word so it's very eerie. Best way I can describe the show is imagine the recreation of a painting, moving in real life.
    September 27 12:00 PM
  • EvoHavok No problem. That site is the Diru gold mine so bookmark it.
    August 22 01:50 PM
  • EvoHavok Yeah, you could watch them on Youtube, but if you want better quality use these: https://theninjapanda.wordpress.com/downloads/live-dvds/concert-dvds/tour14-psychonnect-mode-of-gauze/ https://theninjapanda.wordpress.com/downloads/albums/arche/ (disc 3 for the live bonus) https://theninjapanda.wordpress.com/downloads/live-dvds/concert-dvds/dum-spiro-spero-at-nippon-budokan/
    August 22 01:05 PM
  • EvoHavok I take it you're familiar now with the Dir En Grey live sources, right? :D If not, I can help you find some of the stuff.
    August 22 07:13 AM
  • OmairSh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2lztdrfrcw
    February 4 04:04 AM
  • OmairSh And yeah I think the latest album is the weakest, but it's still really good. The musicianship is top notch, and those vocals, damn. They're touring in a few months, and if you have the chance to see them live, I'd say don't event think about it, GO FOR IT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BfeL02HaYA, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TDUUOKMbME (He was having some vocal problems here, still good though)
    June 26 04:38 PM
  • OmairSh Yeah man all of their music takes a hell of a lot of listens to digest, but then it lasts for a very long time on your playlist. For a lot of albums, you can tell when it peaks, but Bilateral just keeps on growing and growing and I was surprised that I just kept enjoying it more after like 20 listens. TPS is also a monster album and has a lot of refreshing elements in progressive music. Forced Entry is one of their best songs, it's just intense throughout, like the whole album.
    June 26 04:22 PM
  • OmairSh Once MOOOOOOOOOREEE. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about :-D. I see the album is growing on you. Fantastic album.
    June 26 05:01 AM
  • OmairSh Dam this site -_-. I'll manage to live though
    June 19 07:21 PM
  • OmairSh Yeah definitely there will be times when a band releases a good album that you think is below par because of your high expectations. Really? I didn't know Daniel was writing anything. I'm sure someone as creative as him always has music ideas flowing through his head. If they release an album within the next 2 years I'll be happy. Btw can you tag POS with the prog metal and experimental tags? I want hard rock to be the 3rd tag not 2nd as it is currently. Yes I do care about the tags a little :-P
    June 16 05:11 PM
  • OmairSh Well with the favourite bands you have certain expectations right? I try to lower the expectations now so that I don't get disappointed, but it can be difficult :-P. And I haven't heard anything about POS working on new material since Falling Home. I think Danny was testing the waters with the new band perhaps and maybe now he'll start to work on new material. After recovering from flesh eating bacteria the next album could either be really dark, or uplifting.
    June 15 02:42 PM
  • OmairSh Hopefully I haven't raised the expectations from Leprous by too much, or sounded like a fanboy haha.
    June 15 06:09 AM
  • OmairSh For sure I agree. It takes me a little time to truly appreciate an album, and especially albums that have a lot of layers and complexity to them like Leprous' or POS' or so many other albums from top quality artists. And those albums are the ones that have the longest lasting effect and the ones I can listen to for years. Leprous remind me of bands like POS and KC in spirit in that they explore new territories and push their sound on every album. I think your last message got cut off.
    June 15 06:08 AM
  • OmairSh I want POS to release a new album soon, hopefully in another 2 years or so. It's been too long already since we've had new material. Well I messaged you because I see we have similar taste, and that's why I expect you to like Leprous. Bilateral took me around 4 listens to actually understand what the hell was actually going on. After that it started to grow. Coal also took a little while to grow. Yeah I love Bilateral and the band in general haha. I have high expectations from them in the future
    June 15 05:37 AM
  • OmairSh Yo fellow Pain of Salvation admirer. Dam that Bilateral rating is pretty low. It's a tough album to get into, like all Leprous albums (the latest was probably the easiest to digest). You need to take some time away from it. It seems like a cluster**** in the beginning, but it's a huge grower.
    June 15 03:59 AM
  • JokineAugustus No 5's :(
    May 24 11:22 PM
  • Thor The two leaked songs are incredible, don't know what you're talking about. But the rest of the album is very different from those two.
    March 19 01:54 PM
  • LysergicLollypops Probably the most psychedelic ribwich Homer has ever seen.
    March 6 11:42 PM
  • LysergicLollypops True, but still, when it comes to Meshuggah, theres probably some sort of complex algorithm that decides the perfect tracks to release to the world at any given time.
    March 6 05:30 AM
  • LysergicLollypops Fear not, bands like Meshuggah tend to tease their fans with the generally weaker tracks from their to-be-released albums.
    March 6 03:16 AM
  • Lambda Yeah, I have a feeling it'll grow on me. I got it mostly because Gavin Harrison is one of my favourite drummers and Porcupine Tree is awesome. I may check out Drop- and they have anew one out too?! Perhaps that one first....
    March 3 06:42 PM
  • Jom No problem, all set. Thanks!
    February 29 06:22 PM
  • NeutralThunder12 i was jammin al di meola and then some of hey rosetta's new album all good, time for work
    February 5 12:55 PM
  • NeutralThunder12 sup bro
    February 5 12:36 PM
  • Yazz_Flute They were both pretty hasty rates I can admit. But I didn't enjoy them nearly as much as I do Rage For Order, Operation Mindcrime, or Empire. Parts of them irked me, even. Songs like Queen of the Reich and Take Hold of the Flame are great though.
    January 24 12:44 AM
  • Yazz_Flute That depends. I'd probably have to go with 'no,' I tend to obtain whatever is available. Usually if there's a big different in the multiple production values, I prefer the original. IE Rust in Peace
    January 23 10:45 PM
  • Jom ... never mind, I think I figured it out. Merged all the bands together. Let me know if that's not what you meant.
    November 5 02:37 PM
  • Jom ... I think your message got cut off in my shoutbox. Your sentence just kinda... stops.
    November 5 02:36 PM
  • silentpotato wow thanks man! that is a very flattering analogy haha. Yeah i did all the vocals myself, the only thing i didn't do is the keyboards at the end of sickly moon, my buddy max contributed those. ive been told that most of the vocals sound nothing like me lol. im really glad you dug them, im always kind of nervous showing people those tunes for the first time. but your down to do the split eh?
    November 4 02:18 AM
  • silentpotato track 1 http://www.mediafire.com/?95ryvdwdjdw21z4 track 2 http://www.mediafire.com/?2t8949e6u838j3k track 3 http://www.mediafire.com/?yag5n9a4dtsi23a and i dunno, i just liked what i heard and thought it would be cool to put a split together with someone from another part of the world that i had never met in real life haha
    November 3 12:28 AM
  • silentpotato yee take a listen to my tracks before you decide, my music is kinda weird. these three songs were my first gander at making music by myself and also my first time playing the majority of the instruments you will hear for a project. first time doing vocals too, all ive contributed musically before this is drums and lyrics for a few bands. ill send u links as soon as i can i just have to trim off the ends and then upload them onto mediafire or something
    November 2 11:57 PM
  • silentpotato throw our 6 songs together with some art for a split ep would you be interested? i would be more than down to put the songs together and send you it back with my half and some album art for at least the purpose of burning a few discs, throwing the art in a sleeve and being able to give something to our friends
    November 2 11:41 PM
  • silentpotato haha yeah i was gonna make that connection but i didnt want to sound like a dick if i was wrong about it being intentional. i didn't find anything wrong with the second half actually, i thought the distortion was suitable, but im a sucker for anything that sounds raw. i wouldn't have noticed that or the drums if u hadn't mentioned :). but i have a proposition for you unless you have something else in mind for demo tunes... i have my 3 song ep/demo as well.. if i were to
    November 2 11:36 PM
  • silentpotato correct me if im wrong but the first song sounds very tool inspired. **** man, these tracks are really tight... im about half way through the third one right now, i think it might be my favorite. im really impressed man i honestly have nothing bad to say at all... have you/are you planning on physically releasing these songs in any way?
    November 2 11:19 PM
  • silentpotato lol sweet thanks ill let u know in a bit!
    November 2 11:00 PM
  • silentpotato cool im stoked to listen (but i think you forgot to send me the links lol)
    November 2 10:37 PM
  • silentpotato thanks dude! ill let u know as soon as its done
    November 2 07:12 PM
  • silentpotato haven't started yet! i'm moving on friday so its been a hectic couple weeks. I'll get right on it once i've settled in to my beautiful new home :)
    November 2 03:32 AM
  • silentpotato haha actually i kind of hate doing art high on drugs, but at least on acid i am still somewhat competent and it's kind of fun. usually i just give up half way through so i much prefer to do my work sober. ill try a weird fishes one soon just for you :p.
    October 23 09:53 PM
  • silentpotato both yet lol. If you had a different track in mind i'd love to give er a try, and if you were thinking All I Need, i might do a sober version aha.
    October 23 02:56 AM
  • silentpotato siccck just lemme know! i'm July 13th 1992, 7:30pm. Calgary Alberta. My favorite track is All I Need. I don't know if that's the one you were thinking of but... you timed your question pretty perfectly. I came home last night high as a kite on acid, read your post, put All I Need on repeat and made a piece :p. http://sudatsuga.deviantart.com/#/d4dnmnq the one titled The Next Act. I'm not sure if it's more the visuals I get from the song, more acid, or equal parts of
    October 23 02:53 AM
  • silentpotato and you definitely did spot some kayo dot/maudlin and radiohead titles haha. a couple of the pieces in there were directly inspired by the music and art of those musicians. Particularly King of Limbs and Blue Lambency Downward.
    October 22 12:11 AM
  • silentpotato thanks a lot man! i must say my art definitely tends to be dramatically influenced by both my mood and the music i am either making or listening to at the time. i've always felt like the only way i can clearly and cohesively express my mind to my satisfaction is through, art, music and poetry. I'm gonna upload some of my non-graphic art on there soon i'll let you know when it goes up!
    October 22 12:08 AM
  • silentpotato sounds good man i'd like to hear them!! lemme know what you think of my art!
    October 21 05:18 AM
  • Jom Hahaha, it was probably meeeeeeeeeee! I haven't changed my photo in years. Thanks for noticing ;)
    October 21 02:29 AM
  • silentpotato haha well, my Cap is moon, subconscious, so unfortunately that voice doesn't pipe the **** up and speak for itself until after the fact a lot of the time haha. http://sudatsuga.deviantart.com/ thats a link that has all of my photo manipulation from when i started doing graphic art till now. fancy that, anywhere i can hear your ep?!
    October 20 07:44 PM
  • Jom Well, I play drums...
    October 20 06:30 PM
  • silentpotato wonders. I will also openly admit that yeah, i am quite different outside of the internet then i am here. It's just too hard not to have a little fun around here, and hardly anyone else takes anything seriously here anyways. There are actually several other users that to my surprise turned out to be very intelligent people once i got passed their 'this is the internet' face.
    October 20 10:24 AM
  • silentpotato and no haha not really a metaphor, it was quite literal aha. I'll drop you a link for some of my art tomorrow if your interested, and you can check out my newest music on the site here. it'll give you a little bit of an idea of what i mean haha. Taking into consideration that these 3 songs are the only songs i have written as an independent musician instead of as a band and that i have no training in any instrument (or singing) that i play in the songs except drums! inspiration does
    October 20 10:22 AM
  • silentpotato haha, that makes me almost jealous that you are the one who got the Moon in Cancer! Your inclinations towards these wonderful things is probably even stronger than mine. Well your lack of accessible water probably makes traveling that much more grand when you can finally get yourself out and submersed in nightlight and the presence of water. I'm actually moving to an island in two weeks so I'm gonna have plenty for a while!
    October 20 10:17 AM
  • silentpotato indeed haha. I feel my very calmest and most collected under a full moon or seated by a still body of water. especially if i can get both at the same time. And there is no way to deny that the highlights of my ventures in music and art have all been the outcome of spells of depression or unfortunate events. haha in the most stereotypical cancerean ways possible of course. my favorite and most meaningful Graphic art is manipulated photos of exes, same with the content of my best music.
    October 20 09:47 AM
  • silentpotato its a ****in burden ahaha! and i am a smoker, good reflecting time for a grumpy Cancerean. But, negatives aside, Cancer is one of my favorite signs. Their connection between water and the moon and how attuned to the subconscious this can make them can make them terribly infatuating beings. Also the potential to release all the creativity the water signs carry through inspiration by their over-sensitive emotions can lead to some very beautiful work and ideas.
    October 20 08:50 AM
  • silentpotato those overwhelming characteristics can be identified and the idea that they are just a part of my nature has helped me work on them so much. Whenever I get 'stuck' in those feelings I can at least say to myself "hey man, your just being a ****ing watery ass cancer right now and once you chill the **** out your gonna be fine so don't do anything stupid." especially with the jealousy component because for the longest time i struggled with that a lot.
    October 20 08:29 AM
  • silentpotato that's fair man, i definitely point most of my interest in astrology towards the planets in signs because you are right, the characteristic parts are much more realistic to look at and also a little less far-out. Although I am quite interested in certain points on the destiny half... such as the houses that govern death and also sex. they are quite interesting. But yeah, the number one thing i've gotten out of astrology is learning about the negatives in my water sign. Just being aware that
    October 20 08:27 AM
  • silentpotato than enough water than i could handle. then the last one had her moon in Cancer and that was about 10x as intense, holy s***. and then the two girls I know who have moon in Scorpio are two of the most emotionally and psychologically unstable people i know. i think having too much water, especially a moon in a water sign (mostly cancer and scorpio) can be an incredibly dangerous feat if you don't have a good head on your shoulders
    October 20 08:07 AM
  • silentpotato yeah it took me a long time to get there... getting over my stubborn and judgmental tendancies. but i can even pick the good out of something as corrupted and over-read as Christianity now... which was one ideology that I previously had a bone to pick with like no other haha. but yeah i could see it. even having my sun in Cancer i find myself to be emotionally over-whelming and demanding. Its funny my last two exes had sun or moon in Cancer. The first had sun and i found that to be more
    October 20 08:05 AM
  • silentpotato expressions of character. then the planets in houses express aspects of destiny, and the houses in signs detail this further. lastly the interplanetary aspects detail how the character detailed by planets in signs can influence destiny detailed by planets in houses and houses in signs.
    October 20 07:37 AM
  • silentpotato haha wow thats crazy she had all three water signs eh? that sounds like it could emotionally trying. haha awe s*** man, that sucks. i dunno i take that s*** with a grain of salt, there are always people that look at everything good in the right ways and the wrong ways and also people who look at everything BAD in the right ways and the wrong ways. But yeah houses are cool, they bring everything down to an even more detailed picture. from my understanding, the planets in signs are obviously
    October 20 07:34 AM
  • silentpotato ok so we share neptune.. and that's the only planet, i'm honestly surprised we even share that. but what is more ****ed is that we share several Placidus Orb houses; III, IV, V, VII, IX, XI and both Rising and Midheaven on top of that. AND we two planets in houses. Uranus and Neptune both in Ascendant.
    October 20 07:14 AM
  • silentpotato haha pretty much... ill be incredibly surprised if we also share even a couple planets and such but i just need to see this s*** haha
    October 20 07:05 AM
  • silentpotato may i ask what your date, time and place of birth are? i would be super interest to look at your full chart and see if there is any correlation in our planets and houses as well.
    October 20 06:54 AM
  • silentpotato lol, dude my rising is Sagittarius. I always thought it was ****ed that i had all 4 elements too haha! It is impossible to have sun, moon, rising and midheaven all in one sign though because rising and midheaven can never be the same. but i do know someone who is a triple Scorpio (moon, sun, and rising) though which is pretty crazy
    October 20 06:48 AM
  • silentpotato lol really? we must be ****ing doppelgangers or something, that is some weird s***
    October 20 05:19 AM
  • beefshoes You were talking about it on my list though lol
    May 18 03:28 AM
  • beefshoes Sound, where did you find Ghost?
    May 17 03:17 AM
  • Gnominator Nice ratings.
    March 25 01:15 PM
  • coneren Very little could make up for Nickelback, and Bieber
    October 21 09:45 PM
  • coneren He makes me feel bad for being Canadian. I really hope for your sake he never steps on any European land
    October 21 07:01 PM
  • coneren You lucky son of a bitch, I saw him on TV once and oh god, it was awful
    October 21 06:51 PM
  • coneren Some Bieber would do the trick!I think I will do 1 DM album, and 1 BM...not sure which one I want for the big 666 yet though.
    October 21 06:21 PM
  • coneren I'm not even sure what it will be yet. I might have to a rating and rate it again. I'll figure it out, hopefully
    October 21 05:56 PM
  • coneren HAHAHA, I actually plan on rating 2 albums on halloween and leaving it for a day
    October 21 05:10 PM
  • coneren I saw you like both Crimsons, and Devin Townsend..I stopped looking because that is all i need to know. Very great ratings
    October 21 02:00 AM
  • Wizard I will be releasing my best of 2010 metal after Christmas with alot more stuff than just dm and bm.
    October 10 02:39 PM
  • Wizard Hey dude, long time, no see? Here are some of my fav's from 2010 besides 'Majesty and Decay' hahahahaha: Cold Body Radiation - The Great White Emptiness (BM), Burzum - Belus (BM), Castevet - Mounds of Ash (Progressive BM), Enslaved - Axioma Ethica Odini (Progressive BM), Hooded Menace - Never Cross the Dead (DM), Nachmystium - Addicts - Black Meddle Part II (Progressive BM), Vasaeleth - Crypt Born and Tethered to Ruin (Best old school dm I've ever heard)
    October 10 02:39 PM
  • Hawks Yeah they're pretty awesome. Like I said, check out Those of the Unlight first. That seems to be the most well-liked album around here. My personal favorites are Plague Angel and ROM 5:12 though.
    October 4 01:36 PM
  • Hawks No problem man. Abigail Williams was symphonic black metal on their first album, but the new one is more of a straight up black metal sound. Marduk is just extremely fast black metal. If you're going to check out a Marduk album start with either Those of the Unlight.
    October 4 01:24 PM
  • Hawks Hey bro I see you like Dissection too. Go check out my review for the new Abigail Williams album. Very similar to bands like Dissection and Marduk. I think you might dig it.
    October 4 01:09 PM
  • Hawks Ohh I see. Alright man, just wondering.
    September 27 09:07 PM
  • Hawks You got Last FM man? If you do and I'm already your friend on there then I'm retarded lol.
    September 27 08:55 PM
  • Ire DAMM NIG WHO AWE U
    September 22 10:56 PM
  • Ire did you change your name?
    September 22 07:34 AM

  • RippingCorpse http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=420464
    September 20 09:58 PM
  • Jethro42 That's cool man. Out of that bunch you're digging, there's 3 or 4 other essential, consistent albums in '2112', 'Signals', 'Grace Under Pressure' and to some degree 'Power Windows'. Each and every of their albums have something good to offer, so have fun!!
    August 15 10:23 PM
  • Jethro42 correct. and out of my 3 rec'd Rush songs, 2 are on 'A Farewell to Kings', and 'La Villa strangiato' is on 'Hemispheres'. I'm looking forward for what you think.
    August 15 12:34 AM
  • Jethro42 Quote; ''Ok and I'm gonna watch the two Peart vids you listed''..What vids?
    August 15 12:11 AM
  • GaryBusey Have you had a recent name-change?
    May 19 01:27 AM
  • tiesthatbind Yes, I don't know if you caught that in the review, but I'm doing the whole discography (studio albums that is), including the Change of Seasons EP.
    April 21 10:07 PM
  • tiesthatbind Well well well, it looks like Awake is seriously growing on me. Will probably be a 4.5 soon.
    April 21 06:45 AM
  • Hawks Alright dude well thanks for trying to help me out. I appreciate it.
    April 11 07:49 PM
  • Hawks I've always known what it was I just never really was interested in checking it out even though a lot of people around here love it. I'll have to remember to check it out.
    April 11 07:03 PM

Death metal rec's: Gwynbleidd's 'Nostalgia' (more Opethy melo-death), Immolation's 'Majesty and Decay', Incantation's 'Mortal Throne of Nazarene', and Ulcerate's 'Everything is Fire'.

  • Wizard I know for a fact you would love Old Man Gloom, that's Turners other similar sounding band to Isis. His other two projects that I know of are Jodis, which is minimalistic drone, and Greymachine which sounds like your being run over by an industrial-sized dump truck. I actually have a review written for Greymachines 'Disconnected' on this site.

  • Wizard Had a question, do you enjoy anything else by Aaron Turner? I have loads of stuff by the guy when he isn't making me jizz in Isis.

  • Wizard Are you ****ing reading my mind man? 'Garden of Light' is a monster but I would have to say my favourite off 'ItAoT' would be "Dulcinea". The crescendo at the end of the song is GODLY! And "Altered Course" is one of my favourite tracks by Isis, hard to pick a favourite. Have you seen them live?
