| Deviant. That promo copy is the only one that's leaked so far. I was gonna separate it myself but seeing as how it's watermarked I figured I'd just wait
| Deviant. Yeah (every Kiwi guy is, even if he says he isn't) but my life doesn't revolve around it or anything. Probably doesn't help matters when I work at the local stadium haha
| Deviant. Don't know if I would go that far but it is a great album
| Deviant. Yeah dude. Review should be up tonight
| Adash You prefer Glimmer to Treny? I found Treny to be a near insantly heartbreaking masterpiece, must spin Glimmer some mo'
| Deviant. Cheers man. Time for some electronic representation in the staff
| Deviant. Otherwise, just general jazzy frum and bass like Nu:Tone or London Elektricity should be up your alley
| Deviant. Shapeshifter are pretty unique with their blend of d and b, dub and jazzy overtones. If you want some nz stuff that's kinda similar (and by that I mean groups that mix it up, but less drum and bass-y) try Salmonella Dub, Trinity Roots and Breaks Co-op. If you just want some straight nz drum and bass, Concord Dawn, The Upbeats and State Of Mind will sort you out

| Blindsided Send me your email and I'll send the invite and then you'll be able to post. It's pretty easy, you just add the artwork then a link/video and post it.
| Blindsided No hip hop unfortunately. Standard electronic stuff, if you look at the genre cloud you'll get the drift, like industrial, ambient, dubstep, EBM, IDM, D'n'B, psytrance (bloc loves his futurepop). I've never really given a though to trip hop, but given that it's electronic and different than hip hop it might fly. Contributions whenever you want to make them, for a while we were all consistent a couple a week and Dev would post like 6 at a time, the site shows like the last 50 postings.
| Blindsided Would you be interested in becoming a contributor on the blog, posting electronic musics and such?
| Blindsided Hey have you ever checked out the this blog that I'm apart of?http://hopelesssound.blogspot.com/
| Deviant. If you're still on a breaks kick you should check out Community Service II by The Crystal Method. Obviously a lot more modern sounding that Freeland's stuff but still an excellent little comp. There's part 1 as well, but that one's a little disjointed and flat
| Deviant. A tip of the cap to you sir in regards to Submotion Orchestra
| Deviant. It's not quite as good but still excellent. Definitely get the On Tour and Tectonics albums as well, more old skool beaks
| Deviant. http://forum.trancesound.net/audio-live-sets/8101-adam-freeland-coastal-breaks-2-a.html - there's 2. I never found a link for the first one so I had to order it!
| Deviant. Click on the album and see where it takes you. It got bumped off the front page in like 7 hours
| Deviant. Yeah, that's a great little album actually. Almost forgot about it
| Deviant. I've only given it a quick listen but so far it seems pretty solid, but then I'll always have a soft spot for LE

| Deviant. I still haven't gotten around to it. I have it downloaded but for some reason haven't bothered to listen to it yet. But seeing as how you and liberi have been hyping it up I'll have to get on it
| Deviant. I've been holding off reviewing it because my write up will be ott hyperbolic. Probs gonna get the 5 from me
| Deviant. Yeah i just took a quick look around and saw that most of the links have been removed. I'll keep an eye out, I might be able to upload my copy for you
| Deviant. I think it's awesome. Even though it is essentially Foley Room part 2 he kinda takes the sprawling tangles of sound and kinda tightens them up a little bit, like he sort of anchors the noise a little bit (if that makes sense). Plus I love hoe 'Goto 10' is like Amon going "hey if I made dubstep this is what it would sound like"
| Hep Kat you can also check out my new band snooki ****ers' first ep, you'd prolly dig it: http://www.mediafire.com/?63to84f8vzvtgqb. oh and check out happy meals and thought riot too.
| Hep Kat they're not really similar, but another cool punk band from portland you should check is the taxpayers. two of their albums are on quote unquote records for free (i'd check out one damn meal first). as far as bands similar to marathon, you should check out much the same, crucial dudes, and the movielife. if you like the taxpayers, you should look into attica attica (similar folk punk done by the singer from marathon). their singer had a band called de la hoya too that's pretty sick
| Hep Kat yezzir dey sum reel gud choonz
| Inveigh damn I must've logged off last night right after you posted that, I'll peep it when I get home from work tonight
| Inveigh haven't listened to him yet, but I've heard good things from a few people now. I'll definitely hit those up soon, thanks for the rec homie
| Athom on the recordings I'm playing lead guitar and bass. thanks dude haha
| Inveigh it's a loose allegory to a Ray Bradbury short story called The Veldt (originally that was the album title, I'm assuming he changed it for copyright reasons). if you're interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Veldt
| Inveigh most definitely, I love The Veldt and In My Sleep too. the concept behind the record is just awesome
| Inveigh haha review for new Sims will be up by Friday homie. I'm not sure how much replay value it's going to have (only spun it about 3 or 4 times so far), but if it keeps then I may bump to a 4.5...
| Pessimist Ahoy. Would like to know the name of the redhead in your avatar.
| Blindsided I've listened to Latterman somewhat so I might have to check the others out.
| BigHans Thanks man, like it. Its not quite Latterman, but its definitely enjoyable.
| Inveigh hmm.. well in that case I would say Ulcerate's just as good of a start as any band. if you're into melodeath and Opeth, you can't go wrong with Symbolic by Death, or Focus by Cynic. But Ulcerate's newest one is a decent starting point, and it's really good. just know that they're more dissonant and atmospheric, almost less riff-based than other dm bands. But definitely check it out man
| JViney Got four review claims I'm waiting to hear back on, but the next immediate review should be Motorhead's new one.
| Inveigh yeah man I really love what RJD2 did on Magnificent City, and obviously his debut is a classic. Third Hand was pretty cool, but didn't really grab me. I still need to check out his last one. For Ulcerate, the album's incredible. But I'm not sure if they're the best band to start with for dm... what have you listened to in the genre?
| TheItalianStallion Lol, that's funny, cuz I was saying that to a friend of mine that I worked with a few years back. I was saying "I wish I would have known about hardcore earlier," and "I would've loved to have been born about 15 years earlier, so I could've seen Bad Brains, Minor Threat, bla bla bla etc." So I feel you, bro.
| Deviant. No probs man, glad I could help
| BigHans Yeah dude they rule hard, and that song just smokes
| Knott- charlie simpson ep dont know if itll be your type of thing but it rules
| BigHans Dude all 4 Volbeat albums are good. The best is probably Rock The Rebel/Metal the Devil because it has their best song (Sad Man's Tongue). The new one is probably the most melodic/catchy. The debut is the heaviest. Guitar Gangsters is awesome too. Just get em all.
| Kimm I know. The debates aren't beneficial at all which is why I don't start them, but because everyone knows I'm a Christian and a popular target, I get people writing things in my threads that I just can't ignore. Eeee.
| Kimm Yeah I don't know what his deal is. Oh well.'ll definitely give those bands a listen...I agree with you that the lyrics don't have to be Christian but that it's always a plus.
| FelixCulpa Thanks for the RVIVR rec, they're good. The female vocals reminds me of the band Mixtapes who are also a pop punk band that I completely forgot to put on my top 20 list. I guess what I'm trying to say is check em out!
| Satellite yeah man, i like owth a lot. not sure why i didn't have their new one rated... check out the new arrivals album. it's easily one of the best punk releases of 2010.
| Satellite it's weird. lots of users have me as a neighbor even though they're not mine.
| Satellite note: i've been drinking, so the below comment might not be as funny in reality as i thought it was.
| Satellite you're my neighbor now. i'm gonna borrow your power tools and never return them.
| cvlts yeah i got it dude. i like to keep my piechart balanced cause if i rated every hardcore band i know it'd be ridiculous lol
| Satellite Honestly I didn't know they had another one. I'll check it out for sure. Thanks dude.
| Maniac! You really should 5 it. It's sooooo good
| Norwichdude So bring out the deathcar... Love Fightstar!Your one of my musical neighbours whoop
| TRMshadow don't worry about Wold, there's nothing TO get.
| MusicinaBox holy s***, we have like identical Thrice ratings, nice.
| MusicinaBox Thanks for the rec, and your username is one of my all-time favorite songs. Also, Deathcar is like the perfect theme song for Dexter if you watch that show.
| SlightlyEpic I've actually only listened to A Song For Ruin, I've been meaning to check out Harmony No Harmony for a while though, I'll get on that now. Million Dead are definitely one of (if not the) best post-hardcore bands to come out of Britain though, they were ****ing awesome.
| bungy Thanks for taking me seriously, I'm glad you liked it.
| Blindsided Well let me enlighten you as I am a self-professed Doomtree professional. When you get the money if you have all POS's stuff go with: Cecil Otter - Rebel Yellow, Sims - Lights Out Paris, Dessa - False Hopes/A Badly Broken Code (out next Tuesday), Doomtree - False Hopes (EP) XV/s/t (LP), Hand Over Fist - s/t (most ganster rap side of Doomtree). That should be enough to get you going. Lots of POS fans swear by Atmosphere, although I am not one of those people if you get stuck ask Inveigh.
| Blindsided I'm glad. I listened to Be Human on a whim and fell in love with them. After I acquired the rest of their catalog I decided I think I like Be Human the most but Deathcar is one of my favorite songs by them. I'm just bummed I only discovered them this late. What have you all checked out from the Doomtree crew? Myself, Inveigh and Phantom are basically the only supporters on here so we need some help lol.
| Blindsided Wait so you like Doomtree and Fightstar? I think we can be realllllll good friends.
| zeppelinUSA Dude i randomly decided to check out Tom Mcrae from one of your lists and after hearing some previews I bought Just Like Blood. mcrae is the man!!
| Inveigh Nice, hopefully I'll have time to check that one out on lunch today
| Inveigh yeah dude, I'm not so sure why we have basically the same musical neighbors but we're not actually neighbors ourselves... weird. Yes, P.O.S. and Doomtree are amazing! I try to spread the love so they'll actually make enough money to continue making music. Is the new Wilhelm Scream good? haven't heard it yet.
| BSX PARTY PARTY PARTY!!!!
