This album is okay. I honestly hate Samson. I love love love the original version, and I think the new version is completely unnecessary. I also don't like that she's getting tons more fans based on Fidelity. Sure its a good song, but it's hardly the bare, core Regina all her REAL fans know and love. I think the bonus EP is better than the real cd. But, Apres Moi, Lady, and Summer in the City are my three track picks, and are some of her best. But really, I think this isn't as good as it should have been. Humph. We'll have to wait til 2009 or so (assuming that's when it will be) for her new album.

Some of the songs I personally found to be weaker than the others, and lacked the emotional power that Spektor normally contributes to all of her best songs.

Filled with particularly beautiful and even haunting moments (Samson, Apres Moi), "Begin To Hope" rarely stumbles but never fully sustains its emotive power (Fidelity, Field Below).

The entire album felt right. All the songs had their own vibe and feeling; the album flowed nicely. Reginas lyrics were memorable,and created excellent imagery. You can listen to this over and over and always hear something new. Very refreshing; serious and fun. The second disc had five great tracks as well. Worth the buy.
