This EP was one of my first loves in terms of extreme music, and still represents one of the
best examples of metalcore with a pinch of melodic death metal. The short length of the
release, along with interesting tempo changes and varied vocals help to keep this much more
original-sounding than many bands that have similar influences. The breakdowns don't disrupt
the songs in any noticeable way, and I find myself seeking out bands that adopt the model of
songwriting that Through the Eyes of the Dead have perfected here.rStandout Tracks: Beneath

A real gem for the deathcore genre. Sick riffs, ridiculous drumming and some insane vocals are all displayed throughout. An amazing debut for a band that never quite reached their full potential

This was pretty entertaining; a few movie samples, decent guitar work, and one hell of a drummer showcasing the entire effort. The biggest hindrance are the vocals, which for me really hold them back. All in all I thought this worth the purchase. Sadly, when the drummer was replaced, all of the bands appeal diminished. The full-length was a real dissapointment.
