The transition away from Anneke is complete, and The Gathering compose a sharp, emotional album as dreamy and airy as Silje's voice.

Honestly, I didn't expect to like this. But this held up quite well despite the dragging nature in it. I really like Silje's voice just as much as Anneke's now. Really beautiful sounds in this.

First of all the overall rating is too high.Secondly Silje is a fantastic singer but not a goddess like Anneke.Experimenting and stuff is the essense of progress in music and in life but...COME ON where are the fucking guitars???Last but not least West pole is really better than this Ps:their next album will be a turning point (at least for me as their dedicated listener...)

Almost as a consolation to fans for losing Anneke, the band’s previous album was a throwback to their Mandylion days and it was pretty good, but it definitely lacked flair and character. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that with the release of Disclosure they’ve returned to their proggy alt. rock sound and the band sound inspired again and even manage to surprise a little. Definitely near the top of their current-sound releases.
