The EP is good, not great, but good. It has the signature D12 sound and the listener can feel the inner Detroit sound. In other words, the album has an industrial, urban sound as well as a battle feel to it. Bizarre offers his typical twisted humor, Eye-Kyu spits with is compound syllable flow, and the rest are on point. Kuniva delivers, Mr. Porter (Kon Artist) delivers, and Bugz delivers. Proof and Eminem dominate in terms of rhyming skill. Proof spits complicated and aggressive rhymes at ease with a slick composure while Eminem bombards the ears with his classic style, as heard in Infinite as well as tracks prior to his debut album (Biterphobia, ***in' Backstabber).
Proof raps "I love killin beef so I kill a whole cow pasture// lyrically I'm sick, ill everything but sober my nickle plate pack the...jackin fool get ***ed over" followed by Eminem spitting "my intentions to injure// and to prevent ya from enterin' from the edge of my center// or get your mutha***in' pants split at the creases// ***in' you intellectually, givin' you mentally sexually transmitted diseases".
The Underground EP by D12 is a real insight on the innards of Detroit in the late 90's.
