an album to fall asleep to. Not in a good way either.

Every song sounded very similar and none of the songs were very good. So, I guess that means
that none of the songs were very good, meaning, well, that the album was lacking.

To his benefit, it sounds like a Girls album. To his determent, it sounds like a second-rate Girls album. Well played, but not pushing any boundaries musically. At times trite. This is a rather slight affair than can be enjoyed for a moment, but offers nothing for memory.

rOwens undermines his sensitive subject matter, unlike his last album with former band Girls. But, on the other hand, it still has a flare that's satisfying and commanding for an artist like Owens. The overall album is a casual presentation that serves to keep the listener at an emotional distance.
